Imlie - Her love for Aditya or respect for marriage?

I seriously doubt if imlie loves Aditya or her thought process was such that she must love her husband.At first she was like an empty book as she didn't like anyone or focus on anything apart from her studies.So when she got married for the first time it was easy for Aditya to weave his place in her heart.Because even though imlie is irritating at times ,how could she forgive her husband who slept with Malini or her in-laws who humiliated her? Even though she took a stand for herself and left the house ,she could not bring herself to sign the divorce papers or she did not even think that such a thing could happen.She was opposing marriage with Aryan because now the empty book is marked.If she respects the institution of marriage then Aparna or anybody else cannot separate her from Aryan.And I feel she is not a person who can ignore her suhag easily and betray her husband.

Only rupi and Sundar are the sensible character in Tripathi's house.If imlie has lot of self respect then why did she accept the house on her name or let Tripathi's stay there?She could forgive the whole Tripathi family but if anyone gives her respect she takes them for granted (like her Amma,Aryan,narmada,Arpita).Today Imli thought only about herself and not about the consequences of leaving asr who supported her in hard times.

Anyways him being her husband does complicate matters here, but toxic relationships should not be justified under the blanket of religion/society/culture, specially in 21st century (3rd decade)

I was actually very happy that she left after 6 phera without thinking about anybody just herself. She is allowed to think about herself n choose herself. What i hated was that she could have done this long before. Even when this fake wedding was proposed. But she couldn’t choose herself unless all her precious t’s were happy n safe including the bullshitter bs.

Idk what to say... It's such a dilemma but women are always conditioned to react and behave in a certain way to "fit in" the society.

Imlie had lots of options, she could have told aryan to fck off when he proposed the marriage deal, it's not like she's scared of him and his "powers".

About saving AKT, she could have used other ways, like sneaking in - stealing the pendrive instead she looked for his support, so we can go about this in few ways, she thinks she can't defeat him, she's too dependent on her "partner" to fight against him or a combination of two.

Also, she trusts him to lead, even though she fought him the process for his underhanded ways.

It's.... Uff!! so damn complicated to break down.

Ultimately she waited for him to free her, so it's him leading all along? The message is not great here, and i also liked her going away but ultimately it elevated Aryan only and negated his initial underhand ways, so narrative wise understandable but story wise still confusing.
