Fanaa Dream Casting

1. Agasthya: Parth Samthaan: I know Zain is everyone's favourite here still I feel that Parth Samthaan has that diabolical, suave charm. If anyone has seen him in Kaisi Yeh Yariyaan or his web series Main Hero bol raha hoon, he was amazing as a wicked monster. Moreover with Ayaz being his right hand man, the nostalgic factor would've pulled fans. Vikaas Mantakla too had that sinister aura.

2. Paakhi: Helly Shah or Pranati Rathor or Anchal Sahu or Tejaswi: These actresses have that naive, innocent, dreamy look to them yet they also look great in a grey shaded avatar. Reem has more of that savvy, street smart, mischievous vibe that's not sitting well with innocent, sheltered Pakhi.

3. Ishaan: Though frankly, I'm liking only Akshit's portrayal in the show but if they're planning to make Ishaan the mastermind or even show a vengeful Ishaan, I don't know if Akshit would justify the grey shaded role. Akshit has kind of a likable aura of a beta male which would've worked if they had let Agasthya and Pakhi be the centre stage and Agasthya be a supportive friend or fiancee. But he doesn't feel like an iconic villain. So someone like Shakti Arora or Rithwik Arora could be a better Ishaan.

And the less is said about the supporting characters the better it is. Even if you delete all supporting characters from the show except Yug, the show would be the same.

I would have preferred to cast

Zain Imam as Agastya

Tanvi Dogra as Paakhi

Akshit as Ishaan

In EBSS, I feel the chemistry of Zain and Tanvi was not properly explored. Also Tanvi is a good actress she has that innocence in her face and yet smarty look/personality.

Tanvi would have nailed Paakhi's character and also looked good with Zain and Akshit.

The biggest drawback of this season is the miscast of Paakhi. Reem is good but somehow is not fitting well with Paakhi's character.

don't watch show just watched promo but tejaswi would have done good as she done innocent pratha as well as fierce nagin or fierce lover when jealous. want zain and tejaswi onscreen together

Yeah all they showed of zain and tanvi in terms of romantic moments was 2 eyelock/ trip and fall scene and that was it. And on the basis of these two scenes a certain fan group came to the conclusion they had no chemistry even though the show didn't even really touch on their character's relationship at all, and the 2 scenes they were given were oddly placed and forced looking trip and catch scenes, but for chemistry to be developed you need to give a pairing some good scenes together which never happened for this couple. So I do agree on your comment.

I like the original casting itself as I feel all are good though Akshit is better. But, for a change, I like to see the trio Karan Wahi, Shruti Sharma and Abrar Qazi in the respective roles of Agastya, Pakhi and Ishaan. But the story of Fanaa is kind of okay as Pakhi has the upperhand. Otherwise it is yuck especially those marriage track...
