So, I visited kkis forum, and it feels like more people are invested discussing the Marathi version over there. Waha Marathi version ka haar episode k baad discussion chalu hain kyunki current track of kkis is bad. K fam got very insulted by GG's mom and ML called off the wedding. Now, except a few members of ML fam, everyone blames GG. (Sp ney trp k wajah se khel dikhana start kardiya ig) so, over there, they were discussing ki how kkis cannot be compared to Marathi version. Marathi and Bengali ka phirbhi comparison hosakta hain, but Hindi mein woh essence raha hi nahi.

So, I was thinking, even though there are not many ex-BK fans here, as BK ended 2-3 years ago, and ab uska utna active fandom Hain nahi. Paar we do have few BK watchers still on the forum.

If you are still watching the show, what did you like most about BK, and what do you think you like most about Meet? Are there things that BK did better, and vice versa?

Interesting question!

BK will always have a special place in my heart. I loved it because it was the first time I had seen an itv FL like Bokul. The relationships between all the characters including the leads were established very nicely and the family scenes were also touching and realistic. The comedy was great too (as is Meet's).Bokul and Rishi's slow but meaningful journey from friendship to love was beautifully portrayed. It was a lighthearted, low on drama and heartwarming show.

Personally though, I'm more attached to Meet. I started watching it at a difficult part of my life and got emotionally attached to the characters... It became a sort of escape from reality that time. And as a hindi speaking show i found it more familiar as though I'm Bangladeshi, we use much more vocab same or similar to hindi in our region of sylhet... The West Bengal way of speaking Bengali is beautiful but very formal for me! I also connect more with the character of Meet Hooda than Bokul. As for Meet Ahlawat, I find him to be a more interesting and adorable personality than Rishi (dont get me wrong, he was cute too! But Meetwa wins in this regard 😆)

Meet serves better in the romance department and also often depicts the emotions of the characters more vividly. And like most SSP shows, its settings are very aesthetic and visually pleasing.

Overall, both shows have their own charm and its hard to compare them. Meet does better in some regards than BK and vice versa... BK will always have that special place as the original but Meet has done full justice to it as a remake and has become beautifully unique in its own way 💜

I dont know how it will turn out ahead, but so far I have loved it and have full hopes that it will end nicely like BK and leave only good memories for the fans

Even though I haven't watched BK. I watched snippets and heard about the story. Ofcourse, there are some things I wished they also implemented in Meet, but I also know BK was a trp topper of its time, while Meet is currently struggling so cost adjustments and uncertain trp might have made makers take some decisions that they otherwise wouldn't have

I feel both the couple grew differently, but there are significant similarities too that tie them together. I can write a whole post about it and I an willing to soon. I will talk about MeMe journey and what I felt at each stage of their relationship. As I feel, the process of falling in love was slow for both the Meets, and it is very hard to point out exactly when they fell for each other. So, I will just share my point of views.

Overall balance I felt was good. Pace bhi theek thha. I liked the overall progress like Meety getting out of the academy, she working with Tej to figure out the exchange of medicines, in the meantime Mama trying to impress the family, and then in the end describing of the events that took place in order to find the real medicines. Sabko achha screen space mila. Even that police officer who came to announce that Meetwa is innocent, though why he came with so many in tow and holding handcuffs I dont know😆

Only main things I didnt like were

1- the way Meety got out of the academy. It was so non-police like and made a fool of the senior officer. I thought she would make use of investigation itself as an excuse. Additionally I am still confused about the sprain.

2- the weird way in which no one was responding to MeeTej and then suddenly she does some announcement and all wake up and help. Normally dikha dete that they are giving some confusing info or something and she could talk and get the correct info.

Rest in between masala about how she so quickly figures out that medicines are in the water, finds a crane and also uses it tho thha hi but then I have accepted this as masala track.

Meety ka reactions tho previous episode mein ho gaya. She was in a state of mind where she was going to leave the academy to be with Meetwa. Isse zyada kya emotions? Now she is focussed and thinking. Ulta Tej was panicking and not letting her think 😆

Meetwa ko sab overpower kar rhe hai. He has not been given a chance. So kya karega. Ya maybe they could have shown a phone call between Tej and Meetwa since they loaded the shipment together but otherwise Babita pushed him inside, called mama and then all control went there. Who is he supposed to defend himself against. If he had been taken to jail tho phir bhi he could have shown reactions to the police. Gharwalo ko kya bolna.

But I would say he was confident of himself and in his innocence. So he was ready to be detained by the police if the matter reached there... so that police investigation could take place and truth would come out. So he was calm. Oopar se he has already got experience of jail now 🤣 So ab koi darr nahi hai. Drugs case was his first experience.

He only looked a bit pissed when he saw Meety. I think he assumed that she left her training even after their conversation. So I expect a scene today where he asks her in private.

Well i agree with you. Your take is actually very logical but phirbhi Kuch toh missing laga, and yes I also didn't like what you didn't. Meety k emotions nahi but mujhe Meetwa ka ek monologue toh chahiya tha.

Ha he is not scared of jails anymore. I mean dobara without fault chala bhi gaya. Ek Baar toh Kunnu k wajayse aur dusri Baar biwi ko bachanay k chakkar mein😆. Infact, jail mei toh isne apna special dance cameo bhi Kiya hain 🤣 ab toh ghar jaisa mohol hain🤣

Now when it comes to BK there is not a lot that o don't love about it same goes for meet.

I love both shows individually BK mai Mera sab se favourite aspect hoga the relationship dynamics between literally everyone the whole Roy family was written so beautifully that it was extremely realistic and completely likeable yes even Roshni was likeable.

Ha Bk mai romance aspect thoda Kam tha par thik hai regional show hai samaj sakte hai.

Meet mai i love the lead's chemistry like apne meme take that spark to the next level idhar family ko utna ache se nahi lika hai and sometimes you feel disconnected especially when it comes to Babita par I have now accepted ki we can't get everything we want.

I feel now after Manushi track they have been trying to come back to its roots by showing healthy family bonding and by making the relationship stronger. I have ambivalent feelings for the upcoming track. I understand it's importance, and I feel it can be really interesting if executed well. But there is also a fear of butchering the characters in the process. If that happens in any situation, I will consider the last date episode as the last episode of Meet and make my peace. 😆

I think they intentionally ignored the PROMO now..they released with bang and now makers are like.. what PROMO ? did we release such promo ? maybe it was your dream..😛

kyuki kl b 2-3 pm hi aya ta … they are releasing in afternoon everyday… and precap after telecast of episode or just few minutes before telecast… all shows episodes and Precaps are out except Meet …

all shows -> next day episode at night and next to next day precap is available in evening

but for Meet -> same day episode will come at afternoon and next day precap will come in night…

Kyun? Why do you feel that? Promo part will come. Right now she will become a police officer. Promo I dont think depicts the events as is. Its more like the honeymoon promo. Just a general idea of where the story is heading.
