IG people are ruthless, well people in GENERAL are ruthless...but that's the gift of the artistry man. If I'd had to sit and count the number of times I've been called out on the stage, before-DURING-after the act I'd have to sit with an excel sheet next LOL.
It is always uncountable. The 'trolling'...but it's the part and parcel of the job. You choose to put your art above anything, that's what you do....If, and that's a BIG IF, it has any importance in your life.
💯!!! I've been performing for as long as I can remember, and my current sabbatical only began in 12th grade. Criticism of your work is hard to take, yes. But it's most definitely part and parcel of the job. The thing about being a good performer is that your content, be it emotions or the actual concept, reach the audience. So when your audience criticises you? You take it in stride and work on it.
Of course there are always going to be people who will make fun for the heck of it. Who will know nothing about your art and still preach. But you have to take that too and learn to ignore them. That's all one can do, SHOULD do.
