Loved too that Aryan set Imlie free - no forced second marriage for her. If she marries Aryan, it should be of her own volition, he deserves that. He has done so much for her already, he does not need to bear that guilt of having forcibly married an unwilling girl.
As for Imlie, she has to have a choice, she did in that she made the pact to marry Aryan to save Adi but that is a poor choice to make. Who would like to live with the feeling that your wife married you only to save her wretched first husband, what a cross to bear for life. Imlie needs to have no such conditions placed in front of her and that’s what Aryan did, gutsy, brave and perhaps believing of him that Imlie would return to him. Set your loved ones free and if they return, they are yours forever or so the adage goes.
When Imlie returns tomorrow still for whatever misguided reason to save Narmada and Arpitha and heart of hearts to save Aryan and not give up her claim “of friendship” (another name for love) on him, she will be marrying Aryan out of her own choice. This is not a gun point wedding like it was with Aditya but a reasoned out, she is all into this marriage reason.
If Imlie has made up her mind to marry Aryan, returning to that naukrani mode of hers in the reception is unwarranted. The maryada of the Rathore house is hers as well to protect and doing harkath like that to embarrass Aryan is just not done. He will not be embarrassed but she sure will raise a few eyebrows amongst the rest and that is not kosher. This family is now hers, more so than the Tripathis, and she needs to love and protect them. She owes it to them, they have been nothing but kindness and understanding and above all else, loving to Imlie.
