Of Tears and Reflections.
How long has it been on Indian TV / cinema since they have written such a well etched second male lead ? I cannot seem to recollect . There was Mr. Bajaj from KZK but this man Aryan it’s like the improved and upgraded version of him !
Usually Indian hero’s are super white , nice guys . Morally correct, almost Shri Ram like! We like watching it but always know he is too good to be true - only meant to be on books and movies .
But here is guy with flaws and shades of grey , who is only human, making it so believable. He accepts his mistakes , reflects on them to rectify. No dilly dallying once he decides upon corrective actions.
Imli’s tears are his kryptonite from the beginning. It unnerves him every time. He has been hiding behind being the veil of protecting her from AKT rather than accepting his true feelings towards her as the reason he wants her for himself. And all the trauma he put her through as a result of that was so well reflected via his alter ego.
Kudos to the actor from bringing in such heartfelt portrayal. I could feel the heartbreak through the screen as he throws away his varmala and tugs his jewelry off of him, the pain in his eyes as Imli walks away happily unburdened towards freedom .
I went No Imli please look at his face, read his eyes - go back to him ! You finally are getting the man you deserve.
Everyone makes mistakes but it takes a hell a lot of courage to recognize and reflect on it . He is imperfect that’s what makes it so perfect!
What can you do but not love a man who accepts his faults but also amends them ? He is a keeper !
Now what’s left to see is if Imli ends up having some growth on her end after this plot . Requesting the makers not to unnecessarily drag this MU anymore . Bring something new if you want to continue the angst between the couple . Because if Imli regresses after all this , she will come out looking insensitive/apathetic and no one in the audience will feel anything for her for real !!
The show is called Imli after all not Aryan ! Time to take care of the baby of the show ….
