"Ranbir and Alia" are "Harry and Ginny" of Bollywood.

Ranbir is the blue eyed boy of Bollywood just like Harry was the blue eyed boy of the wizarding world.

Ranbir even before his debut was hyped alot without actually doing anything because he came from the royal Kapoor family. Harry was also popular even without doing anything just because of his parents (he survived because of Lily's sacrifice).

Ranbir comes from a rich and royal family. His father was a star-kid. His mom is an outsider. Harry's father James was pure blood and Lily was a muggleborn.

Coming to Alia, She comes from the Bhatt family, which in hierarchy would be at the lowest among all filmy families. Weasleys also recieved a poor treatment by other pure blood families.

Alia is an extrovert. She loves attention and is very good at socializing. Ginny was also an extrovert and extremely popular in school.

Ginny initially had a crush on Harry because of his fame. While Harry wasn't interested. Same as the case with Ranbir and Alia. Ranbir looks disintereted and Alia is star-strucked.

Harry married his fangirl. Ranbir fortunately or unfortunately would also end up marrying his fangirl. Most people consider Ranbir and Alia a mismatch, and consider Ranbir's true love to be Ayan.

Most fans also consider Harry and Ginny as mismatch (although that's likely because they haven't read the books), and they ship him with Hermione.

The Bhatts are certainly not the lowest of the low. Mahesh Bhatt still commands immense respect in the industry for the quality work he'd done in the 80s. He's still referred to as "Bhatt Saab" in the industry.Despite the sleazy films made by his production and the fact that he was not working right then, he had enough contacts at the time of Alia's debut to call favors on his behalf. But he's contrary and seems to have the opinion that Alia has tasted success too early. In his opinion failure would have given her more experience to draw from and made her a better actress. If he had his way, Alia would still be waiting in the queue giving auditions. It's her mother who used her husband's contacts and ruthlessly fast-forwarded her career.

P.S If the lowest of the low was referring to Mahesh Bhatt's colorful past, most of the great families had humble origins. More than a few had a tawaif or two in their family tree. Nobody would hold his past against him in Bollywood.

He was definitely not an average wizard with just one good spell. He was the first to ace the Patronus charm amongst his peers. He was better than hermione at DADA and even performed better in the practical OWLS where he got an O while Hermione got an E. He literally taught DADA to all of Dumbledore's Army. He might not be a book smart wizard, but when it comes to real world experience and practical magic, he might even be better than Hermione
