Introducing a new character as a 'potential love interest for Priya to make Ram jealous' does not make sense at this point.

Would've made sense around Vedika's entry in KM

Saw the scene again, they did not have many dialogues for Ram because it was more for him to allow her to speak her mind, vent it out. Which was good, and showed how he cares for her, he understood that she was not in a state to reason with and did not try either, he just let her be.

Why it did not strike a chord with me.. may be I wanted Priya to let him know how stupid she feels now about some instances which she did not even register, but make more sense now, like him giving credit of the birthday party to his ex, dancing with his ex under the guise of a friend and ignoring his wife. This all the while, when everyone else knew about it.

May be I wanted her to let him know how betrayed she feels when she joins the dots about some instances that did not sit right with her earlier but she could not understand why.

Like him walking with his ex to a room and sitting behind closed doors, him taking her to his ex’s place for dinner but not caring to share her the backdrop, to top it all, bringing her to stay with them under the pretext of helping “ a friend” in need - without telling her the completely truth or taking her consent.

I would have wanted Ram to see how betrayed and disrespected she feels and how insensitive he had been with his casual actions and what is his responsibility as a husband.. and now does he still want to say “ Trust me Priya”

After this I would want him reflecting on everything and understanding that not revealing you ex was never the problem, getting her into your life under the same roof with your wife was the ultimate act of disrespect and not sure what would it take to make it right… goofiness for sure is a No no.

The least it would need is to empathise with her and not belittle your doing by saying I was afraid and it was not a big deal as it is my past.

Spot on... This is exactly that was missing... That's my concern also.. Ram will be just fixated on priyas daddy issues and blame it all on that.. and not realise how insensitive he had been .. and yes goofiness is a big NO now... He needs to apologise not just for hiding the truth but for all the insensitiveness he had shown in the past.

You have explained this so beautifully... I was wondering for so long about what the episode lacked.
