Angad's role and the reality of itvs

This is a general post . No offense to anyone.

I was still following the show( on updates) to see how Angad's character would unfold as story carried on since kvg cameo was extended

Somehow , i knew they will mess up again. No hope from the makers.

The latest precap

He spiked fatejo's drink during holi celebrations Not sure his intentions. Highly likely he will be turned negative

The only thing which is good is that at least he will get an exit pass soon and those who still followed the show coz of him can take take a permanent break. I am one of them.🤣🤣🤣

As much as i would have preferred his positive closure but being one he might stay longer. So the best way to release him early is to turn him negative .

So negativity be it.

Another thing that i would like to share is the reality of itvs which till date i am still very much amused despite not watching way too many.

The ones that I watched so far including this show as well , what i notice is that no matter how toxic the MLs could be , yet they are redeemed in a way and FLs forgiving them easily accepting them . Till date i don't understand why this concept is applied in itvs

How many out there actually portrayed a sensible non toxic ML. Kundali had one wonderful sane lead , rishab luthra played by manit joura . Unfortunately and sadly he was sidelined and left the show last yr. Many liked him. I followed 800 episodes of the show only coz of him. I left it two yrs back.

Why is it that itvs always glorify MLs who manhandle FLs, perhaps cheats them or even abuse them yet they are forgiven with redemption and whitewashing strategies and still paired with the FLs.

How many emphasized on MLs not forgiven by FLs and they move on strongly independently like Koyi Chand Rakh

The reason which i always hear.

Trp aunties like toxic ML and mahaan FL . 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Then i asked myself.

What if aunty's husband manhandles , abuses or cheats her will she still forgive him?? Is aunty that mahaan??

I just can't seem to understand that , are the trp audience accepting these mockeries which are glorified by itvs revolving their MLs and FLs or are the production houses using them as tools for drama and money making when there are actually better ways to produce a healthier show with sane sensible MLs and less mahaan FLs and still get ratings as gone are the days when women bowed to men's tantrums. It's the era of women empowerment.

Alas, not a single PH has taken a note on this

Negativity glorified for ratings and positivity neglected. In fact even positive cameos are butchered for toxic leads just to make them look better in the eye of the viewers.

Then why entertaining positive ones like tarak mehta ka ulta chasmah did wonders for more than a decade. They survived for long and have loyal viewers.

Just sharing my pov. It is disheartening to see characters ruined in itvs for ratings and money making when they could be utilised properly for the same purpose.

Deep inside me, i am still hoping that at least one producer out there would give us viewers a sane sensible ML in near future. Exactly the rishab luthra of kundali and the actor manit , nailed it well.

Till date, whenever i get the time i still rewatch his scenes in yt.

I think the bhang was mixed for Jasmine?? I don't know Angad is always shown negative in precap. In the epi it turns out to be something else.

If it was not Ankit Gupta but some normal looking guy playing Fateh a lot SM delulus would have never defended Fateh for what he did to Tejo.. I may be wrong but the amount of hatred I have for someone who cheats their partner is too much because of the recent experience in one of my friend's life. He actually went s****dal battling the trauma. I thought Tejo would represent all those victims of EMA emerge as a stronger character individually. No I don't want TejAng anymore stopped shipping them when they turned him into a freak in Shimla🤢

Problem lies with us.. we expected a better show from someone who made their own name in TV industry. They promoted the show on those terms only but it turned out to be like 'any other crap show'.

Every character in this show or any other show are same. All stories are same.. this is the decade of EMA in ITV😵 all shows have same concept with different faces at different time slots in different locations. Watch mythology if you want to divert and move on as I am doing the same.. I am watching Dharam Yodha Garud from day 1.

I used to watch cartoons and weekend shows when I was kid. Do you remember those days when finite and better shows were written. Tried watching daily soap when I was in college. Balika Vadhu.. it was fine untill I watched don't know how it ended. Left all shows mid way when characters are no longer relatable.

Don't expect sane ML or FL from ITV. I only loved two ships in all these years of TV watching.. I won't say they are perfect but they are perfect for me.😍

They are caring and loyal.. never made their ladylove cry on streets or depressed her that she had to leave her own home. They are not obsessive and try to control her live thinking that their decision is better than her's. They supported her decisions, respected her choices and her career above all.❤️

I was keen to see if they would give him a better content since his cameo was extended.

He will defo be butchered to glorify the ML more making him look better in the eyes of the viewer.

I took a break from the show after his exit but when i realized he returned thought smtg good will come up in his way but nope they are hell bent of making a mockery of his character.

Anyways now i gave up as well . Let makers carry on with their bs. Who cares

The MLs does all kinds of rubbish but yet they get the green pas to be whitewashed and cherished as if he did nothing and the positive cameo ruined just to make that toxic lead look better

It is sad to see a sane pleasant man been made a mockery so that the lead could be glorified

I don't care how long he stays but i don't give a damn any longer.

The one where u mentioned about Ankit. I had the same thought as well.

His chemistry with the FL is the reason the ship is alive and still supported . That's the main reason his redemption worked for some .

If it was some other guy onboard , it wouldn't have worked. The makers somehow realized it when their offscreen reels were released at the start of the EMA track and received tremendous popularity. Thats why they stooped him lower and lower coz they knew that people will still ship him after whitewashing. And the other strategy was to make him look better in the eyes of the viewers by turning the cameo negative.

There were arguements that his redemption was for his own self development . Then why was Angad butchered ?. If fateh's solo journey of whitewashing has nothing to do with angad then why was he shown mahaan and angad a psycho and stalker who entered the show as a man who was pleasant and made all smile. He was shown the shrewd intelligent sardar who loved his people and country . SM was on fire with his entry. He was accepted well and clicked with the viewers. At the same time even the leads reels were still making rounds.

Why u bring him in if u still want to glorify your ML with FL?

His fans and the sane viewers retaliated. Proof is the ratings. He was sidelined three mths back yet ratings soared. But some can't seem to accept the fact. Yet he is blamed. The past three mths how many scenes he had. He was like a wallpaper. More ss was given to the leads the villain and their families yet it didn't work

Now they are conspiring again with voot. Episodes still not released early. The subscribers are complaining

I will still keep in touch but no longer on the show. I don't care now they want to keep him positive or negative they can do whatever they want but my instincts are telling they will still butcher him to glorify the once upon a time cheater ML .

And the main reason why the show is sinking is coz it is really gross to see the same guy romancing both sisters in similar ways . Stalking, suicide attempt and what's not. With both sisters , he went extreme levels which is difficult to digest

Too much of i love u jasmin made i love u tejo looked artificial and creepy. People can't digest their romance. They made it as a jodi ( that too only coz of their chemistry and nothing more) but not in the story after the prolonged jasu jaap and EMA track

Slip of mind coz when i wrote that post my blood was really boiling and temperatures rose.

The way they played with Angad's character just to glorify the ML and the FL, the less said the better.

When she needs his help then angadji pls do this.

After that just throw him like a used tissue paper.

That guy written as billionaire then WTH is he utilised as wallpaper in FL's family and hse.

When i read the updates, i go nuts. If i watch onscreen i would have smashed my tv. That much temper i control with his mockery. And the mockery of his character lesser said the better.

He risked his life saving fateh in latest suicide attempt of standing in front of a speedy truck coz her father didn't accept him , she never even appreciated. There was a clip where i saw when he is around her, she gives funny looks

I just despise the way she has been written lately and that's why skipped on screen for two mths in a row. Watch ankit and kvg clips only.

I dislike the fact that they played with Angad's character just to glorify the ML.

Now I don't care they keep him positive or negative.

Ani this entire show is a joke. The qismat jaap, illogical scenes and a lot scenes were re-shot for twists.. Makers this is not the era where viewers just watch on TV & leave if they have doubts.. your shows are on ott platforms where it takes few seconds to re-watch the scene if it was correct or not.

I heard a lot of defensive comments when Angad entered, I don't remember where on YT or twitter that Fateh is not a criminal. He did not commit sin. Also the IF article from KVG himself saying there show is traditional but not regressive made lol. Why did he do that?🤪 His PR is pretty bad he should fire them immediately if it was their idea to give that statement.

PPL who did EMA may not be criminal considering only EMA part but it is not simple to get free pass they are still considered criminals only.

Except the EMA part everything it causes to victim comes under Indian Penal Code. One can easily book case considering the mental trauma or harrasment it caused to victim. It's not coming from someone trying to sound woke or trying to sound feminist. Weirdly it will be Angad who would get clear pass even if booked under same because of his Mental illness he will be sent to therapy. That's how toxic and regressive this show is w.r.t it's main male lead and cameo.

I don't even want to talk abt Jasmine's criminal activities🤔 She should be sent to jail asap...

Tejo can be booked in the case too😆 She hid vital information in accident case. Madam ko bhi jail mein daal sakte hai.

I was doubtful when Dusk told me to publish the TejAng story on Wattpad but believe when I say this there are people who wanted her to move on and stopped watching when they showed Fatejo reuniting just like me and they are not JasFa fans.

Tbh I find it weird that Both Virks and Sandhus don't have neighbours. This show says it showcases Punjab flavour and culture but it's not even trying.. There used to be a show Veera aired years ago. It had better pind environment than this show. Oh the profits makers made from this show is marvellous with 2-3 sets and occasional college scenes. SaRavi you guys are pretty smart. Let's see what future holds for them.

The sad reality is most aunties will forgive their fateh's and that is the reason people watch it. Just a few days ago some statistics came out where it was shown that most indian woman (about 60% if I remember correctly)justify domestic violence as their husband's right🤢 or nothing wrong.

With low labour participation of women and little to no agency in their life I am not surprised women often try to justify their own traumas and the wrongdoings of their husband, son, brother etc etc. Women who go through abuse often romanticizes it and the shows help in further justifying their situation and making it to be glamour than it actually is.

Any situation can be shown to be romantic with good bg music and beautiful shots of the leads crying but the reality is darker and itv serials are nothing but a way for the women of our country to make their life's seem better than it actually is.

I was not aware of the statistics as i live abroad. But it would be sad if that's their awful mentality.

The trp audience is based in India ( where Orthodox thinking prevails) and not abroad ( where women empowerment prevails)

Perhaps the woman in the rural areas must have accepted but not those in metropolitans. Majority are independent and educated ones.

It's personal choices with surrounding factors like kids or financial. Perhaps they are dependent on their husbands and have no choice.

Or they love them too dearly and forgives them easily . Just like tejo

My post is basically on the ideology sold by itvs that tells women hey u should accept domestic violence etc in ur life from ur husband. Even if he cheats no problem.

Fateh was forgiven coz of ankit's chemistry with the FL. If any other guy perhaps it wouldn't have worked

Time is changing . If 60 percent are giving in then balance forty percent are moving on. It's not like all hundred percent are bowing to their husbands' tantrums.

Slowly that forty will someday keep increasing as the future moves forward and women becoming stronger.

Fictions guides humanity with the values they portray in them.

That's how itvs should work.

When they can bring bold dressing(like in nagin shows) as well as lip locks in few serials almost adapting western cultures then why the main concept of their themes always falls to typical orthodox eighteen century indian culture

One side they show boldness and sizzling scenes of the leads the other side they will come up with superstitions apshaguns etc.

Did u see the latest dressing of most FLs. Full backless in some shows especially when they wear sarees. But they will still be shown as abla naris🤣🤣🤣

As for UD , they maintained the fact that the families were living in villages in punjab and tejo was fully dressed in salwar kameez. On top of that forced marriage( fatejo) when in actual in developed punjab nothing sort happens these days. My cousins there even those married are wearing pants jeans blouses and t shirts.

Sargun copied aainaa movie which aired two decades ago. My aunt residing in punjab who watches UD says no such thing. Baraat returns but girls not forced with marriages

Despite being a punjabi ,Sargun is abiding 70's concept in her show when in actual the world has moved on towards the millennium.

The content the lesser said the better. The FL was portrayed as strong independent and could handle two families issues. Now they made her too weak and obsessed with her cheater ex.

Time for itvs to start changing their concepts gradually

The biggest flaw of UD - a guy romancing two sisters which didn't go well with some viewers.
