As I written about her dilemna in the chapter, she is not a bad person, she doesn't want to hurt neil but from her pov, she is suddenly stuck in this situation where she woke up and found her whole life has changed, she is now married to a man she dont remember and she is pregnant with his baby. She is finding it difficult to have strong maternal feelings for the baby all of a sudden.
