Prequel of anupama

I wish they had started the prequel, from the time frame of Anuj and Anupama time in college together. Would have been a fun watch. A lot of mix feelings about seeing Anupama and Vanraj living happily together, when we are actually about to see Anuj and Anupama on the brink of marriage.

I am sure there will be a track of MaAn at college with Shah family in parallel.

Even after AnuRaj marriage, there is scope to show Anuj run his business, deal with his parents' death with Mukku and his equation with GK.

But I am really not interested in it simply because it's extremely uncomfortable to watch Anupamaa's dreams being crushed (studies, dance etc.) incessant Leela taunts, Vanraj's evolving superiority complex, him meeting Kavya and the whole detoriation upto the point where the first episode of Anupamaa started.

Also am sure Vanraj and Anupamaa will be played by younger actors, so there is no question of an actor specific fan following. Though Gaurav may be able to pull off a young Anuj with a clean shave and skipping the spectacles and Madalsa can play Kavya too.

They are the same actors. They have shown Bapuji’s mother also played by Sarita Joshi who is supportive of Anupama.

I will also be skipping the prequel because I can’t digest so much oppression of Anu. And it will be very weird to see Anu and Vanraj as a couple because MaAn have created a niche in our hearts.
I want to see the evolution of Anu and Anuj as a couple. Not interested in how Anu and Vanraj’s marriage failed.

I think it would be fun if they showed how Anuj fell in love with Anupama and helped her win the dance competition, the fight he had with his hockey stick cause someone flirted with Anupama and other fun incidents in college. A younger Anuj might be fun to watch.

There is honestly no point to the prequel! For me the story got interesting after Anuj’s entry.. who really wants to see Anupama and Vanraj together again 🤢

Same sentiments but I guess they want to extend the cash cow as the show has been popular for the longest time.

P.s. I see you are person of tastes with that picture from Originals. See this is a show that realized which character should have a seperate storyline. After vampire diaries 😀

yes spin-offs only work when done right .. like the originals 😳…and am sensing this prequel thing will be a major flop😆

I hear people saying kinjal should get her own show and honestly that would be great.. creators can show Kinjal divorce and then her journey as a single mum etc… after all she is Anupama #2 lol but makers could show Kinjal being so much more independent!!

Yup that show was so good initially especially the first 2 seasons and the redemption of the him. 😊

I do not wish bad on anyone as a show has lot of peoples hardwork, but not sure if this prequel will be my cup of tea.

My thoughts are this was planned before Anuj's entry or they never realized how popular a new character that enters half-way after almost 400 episodes would become.

Maybe after this they could do a prequel of Anuj's life too. 🤔

Those tracks are fine. Honestly if the prequel ends at Anuraj marriage ceremony I am still good, where MaAn go on two different paths with hopes of meeting again. But anything after that will be unbearable.

It will be like a very stretched run of the Malayalam movie "The Great Indian Kitchen" but only the oppression part. We will not get to see the super satisfying scene where Anupamaa splashes dirty water on Baa and Vanraj and walks out of the house. 🤔
