Shweta Bachchan’s Son can be an actor but not her daughter ?

Can someone explain why? Shweta said she was so scarred from her fathers experienced that she’d never left her girl enter the movies…. So why is her son allowed ?

I really like navya and I also feel kinda sorry for her sometimes. She might come from privilege but she's been groomed in a very patriarchal/orthodox environment. She hasn't had the same freedom that her friends (Suhana, khushi etc) have had.

She always gives me those rich socialite wives vibe. The ones that will take care of the family and run a ngo/charity on the side. Which she does right now I think, she's doing a lot of ngo type work.

Even if she wants to be an actor I doubt anyone in the industry would go against Ab/or her mom and cast her.

I hope she breaks away from the mould her family has cast around her and becomes her own person.

She may or may not want to be a part of BW. That's her choice for sure.

But BW stinks of misogyny. All these big BW families don't like it if their daughters join it cause they know the filth the women of BW have to go through sometime or the other. Even if you are privileged, you'll have to compromise in front of someone bigger than you.

Afterall, these men werr part of the same system during their prime. Didn't Bachchan have multiple flings despite being married. Parveen Babi anyone?

I don’t know, but I hope someone puts her on the spot and asks her about this. She was adamant on KWK that she didn’t want her kids joining films because she had no way of knowing how good or bad they’d be. And her son is getting such an easy entry into Bollywood that he didn’t even have to finish his ADA job on the sets of that Ranveer/Alia movie 🙄.

I get the impression that Navya wants to be in films and she'll waiting for the right 'family-approved' project or being groomed. Her family might not like it. But she'll charm them somehow. She can't go against The Family and hope for a successful career in Bollywood. The Bachchans are not like the Kapoors who will turn a blind eye and let the miscreant daughter get away with it.

Navya is very beautiful in photos..but I think she has a slight squint in the eye when I saw her video..
