You maybe onto something here.

Only terminal illness(brain tumour, my guess) will make Fateh give up on Tejo now and probably help Rupi fix Tejang marriage. And will convince Angad too to marry Tejo( if he is positive).

Tejo will come to know and run from mandap. Both will tide this together then and one random operation and near death experience, and bam! Tejo's love does the magic.

Pandit's words of death will also come true but of course they will turn around their fate with pyaar ki taakat n all that.

Diseases are depressing tracks though. But might fetch TRP. But shouldn't be dragged long.
