Would Bollywood now make more movies like The Kashmir Files?

Bollywood runs behind success and copies any formula which works at the box office till the time audience is not bored of it.

So after the super success of The Kashmir Files, would Bollywood make more movies which appeals to the right wing and the Hindu community?

The Kashmir Files success is not small. This movie is going to make as much money as a regular commercial film, without any Superstar or bankable star, A-lister heroine, no chartbuster songs, no action, comedy, romance etc. This movie is truly one of a kind.

But Bollywood is known for being leftist and secular. Would they let go of this image to please the masses to make money? And if they don't, what would that say about them?

No they would not make anything which will make under world unhappy. Many Bollywood celebrities are under underworld's payroll. They will not make them unhappy.

I hear they are remaking "Birth of a Nation" next.

I’d be happier if they start making movies to expose the politicians who are the sole reason of every citizen’s plight. But I guess that’s not possible.

In 90s there would be so many movies on Love, romance which would smash all records. People would come out with smile on their face, happy tears, feel good. I dont see that happening now-a-days. The recent ATBBs are mostly on nationalism topics. It’s a dangerous trend for a country in general. People coming out with anger, disappointment. Hope the youth survives it all. Prayers for them. 👍🏼

Agree with the point that movies nowadays fail to bring a smile on our face..mostly thanks to OTT trends.

That's the reason I loved 83 and even Sooryavanshi..they had light moments. Not romance as such but at least some fun. Hate to admit but even Indoo ki Jawani felt better after watching something like Haseen dilruba.

Otherwise either they r woke issue based, grim murder mysteries, stories of deceit or adaptations of real life incidents..sometimes we crave for just plain, simple, beautiful love stories..without going in the gehraaiyans

Kashmir Files would’ve been a perfect movie if the director chose to stick to the genocide/exodus and the back story of it instead of getting into the politics and JNU bashing!

OT: Hope not! While I love the truth being exposed in the movies, it seems it’s impossible for the Director to not add his own narrative instead of presenting the events as they are and letting the audience decide for themselves.

Maybe, just maybe, it’s because now under the garb of romance, filmmakers like KJo stopped giving us KKHH and started giving us 💩 like SOTY?

The fact that I only know Vinod Kapri from the recent video of the kid running gone viral is probably enough to tell me how this movie will fare. Will the opening scene show the Godhra train scene burning of Hindus?

Bollywood has actually made a lot of "Gujarat files" movies like Firaaq and Parzania but none of them worked at the box office.
