BAA is too hasty in speaking about all this dadi marriage, society, etc..to MaAN new Anupamaa, who personally has not announced to them or asked their opinion, why criticize or attack her verbally. They both mom laws they blow up out of proportion.

V enter in ANU's room and say in fact he is not sure anyone does marry. He say don't do that...potentially a passive aggressive way of saying, he disagree. And says 'No' on marriage.

ANUJ wants ANU to make up her mind from here on out, if it is Shah or MaAN!

Pehle to they can't tell the difference between high snd drunk, and then each time they have a single drink, they get so drunk and top it off every time they remember nothing, absolutely of what they said and did while drunk

Not just the difference between high and drunk.... they are not aware of DV, EMA, How properties get transferred, How bank frauds are handled, How a woman can maintain dignity and respect in society post divorcee..... especially how that woman will learn to be away from toxic Ex-In-laws ... Even when court grants children to stay with one parent... the other gets visiting rights ... but this right the visiting parent exercise by taking the children out and make them stay with them during week ends etc...... At the most they may visit school meeting together....

Here Anu keeps on staying with Ex though the children are grown up.... accepting all kind of insults from Ex and above all celebrate functions and dance with them... Woh! Woh!

I feel most Indian Americans and many Indians especially in this forum live in an alternate world sort of in our own bubble. I sympathize with this woman's story, but I cannot relate to her story to me it's in a different world.

Currently my mom is visiting from India for a couple of months and we've had several opinionated heated discussions already. My mom says, this woman in the insta post or Anupama's story, 90% of Indian society is like this, like Baa, Vanraj and Toshu or shades of them and women are like Anupamaa, conditioned in some form or the other vs I believe the new generation has changed, that all this is only in small towns or rural India like 40%-50% and we've been arguing about this. She says I live in insta/twitter/IF world where the 90% population are ideal MaAn shippers, all for women's progress etc

Living in the US, most of my family/friends circle are made-up of mixed marriages, mixed cultures/religions, many divorcee, 2nd marriages, gay/lesbian couples etc hardly any baas or vanus in my knowing and most men/spouses are some form of Anuj especially equality in working/raising family/household chores etc so my views are totally different, for me Dadi can get married and Dadi can have a child at 45 too and so I am a huge MaAn shipper, am sucker for happy endings for love stories.

I truly hope my mom's numbers are wrong, if not I will still hope that Anupama inspires a whole generation and society to change for the better.

Yup, the online crowd is a bubble. It's possible to live in such a liberal bubble in India too, but they're bubbles at the end of the day.

In a sense, the online viewers are a small fraction of the number of people who watch the show on tv. This is surely to reach them. I get triggered by these dialogues about women, but many women do hear it for real, in everyday life.

I all in for a realization for Anupama...but Mera dil bada kamjor hai....in dono ka jayada dukh dard dekha nahi jaayega.

I watched clip of this part...only 50 sec brought tears in my eyes...this was lovely scene.
