yes i agree , 100% ,,Yes she is gradually seeing Arus faults, and trying to balance between love and family and changes don't happen overnight...but I have a feeling if she had to pick between abhi and aru, she will go for aru...abhi will always be secondary,,,,

but then again, abhi is older then her and has seen the world differently, so may be that's why he sees what ak doesn't

He just wants to protect her, coddle Akshu from that inevitable crash which will break her heart. He loves Akshu so much but the thing is, just because you love someone you cannot run their lives. Everyone has to have autonomy.

Then add in the factor that families are complicated. Only someone born into theirs can work out the dynamics and how to handle each person. What an outsider sees is so different from what an insider sees.

Akshu simply believes in love and family solving all issues. This is why she will never give up on Arohi. Her love will be enough to get rid of the demons driving Arohi. Maybe. That still remains to be seen because Arohi is now on the verge of a transformation. But which way she goes is not clear just yet. So Akshu will keep on trying, trying and more trying.

Abhi is impatient by nature but very quick to be decisive but Akshu is not like that. His dissatisfaction is stemming from the place that she is not seeing his POV and not trying to prioritise their love. He is not wrong. He just needs to understand that when you have families or other people who rely on you, there are times they need to come first or be the focus.

The way you put it is completely reasonable . But I will never blame abhimanyu for meddling in akshus life..his instinct is correct . Akshu needs to learn to draw lines ..its not her life anymore , it's theirs...what one does affects the other ... till today her actions only affected her life, now it's their life...Anyone who is truly caring can't let any harm come to their loved one. After marriage if akshu keeps doing family jaap (not just her family but his ) , stomping over abhimanyus feelings , it's not done.. akshu can't see aarus real face , we can ..so obviously if she if is ringing danger bells , n abhimanyu can catch it , I will.applaud abhimanyu for not acting dumb.

They have chosen each other as partners with their weaknesses..abhimanyus weakness is his temper and hers is family . Goes without saying , he will have to adjust more . I am glad as of now , he vocalize s it pretty well. That's all I need coz I know akshu maate will never change. She will not only keep sucking it up to aaru but harsh also.

When you are in a relationship, your partner can advise, give you their pov because as you rightly said it also affects them as they are in it together but a partner should never meddle/enforce their eill when it comes to each families/friendships/finance and etc. That can become borderline abusive and falls under the category of keeping someone under their thumb for manipulation or worse abuse.

Granted, here it's fictional and we can see Abhi's genuine concern but I just want the above to be here because in real life this would be a red flag in a romantic partner. This is what I meant by autonomy. Everyone needs to have free will - they can seek advice, listen to opinions, balance it up and etc but it has to be their choice at the end of the day. Only by committing mistakes do people learn.
