Yes this! Have already said a lot about why imlie is unbearable aaj kal but this is why I am losing it with aryan too.. all happy and blushing when the girl is at a discomfort with him and he’s always cared about her tears before, so if she is tearing up because of this force marriage how does he think forcing her to go ahead with it will help her? what if she keeps crying even after marriage? like she simply doesn’t want to be with you? he’s going for what he wants but giving it the name of protection. disregarding what she feels. which is sooo unlike him. the person who used to be the most receptive to her pain. now thinks the only way to save her from it is to give her a little more of it

If there was even slight indication hi of how she actually is bound by what she thinks is duty or her upbringing for Ts and doesn’t enjoy all that, or that her attraction had also been given a little thought, maybe something she vehemently denied it could have been better but now all I can think is ffs aryan go and find someone actually suited to you and let her learn on her own, she doesn’t want it doesn’t mean she’s in trouble bro, she just actually enjoys tripathis’ servitude mein hona more.

Like I saw more similarities between AKT and imlie today than compatibility of aryan and imlie and that made me so sad ☹️

I have zero problems with morally ambiguous characters and stories. Instead, I look for stuff like that and I really enjoy them. And when it comes to romances, even if there is conflict or denial both parties are involved. But here.. it’s just one party carrying the whole show, thus saara ghalat sahi, good and bad all falls on him because the other one is stuck and has no contribution to the progression of story. See, he’s trying to protect her doesn’t want her to turn to that weeping imlie, but from what? My major problem is they’re not really showing tripathis as someone she needs protecting from, they’re suddenly whatever they are today and she has never wanted to be protected from them. Their approval makes her genuinely happy and that weeping version comes out when she feels she’s being separated from them. It’s like yeah he has a version of what is right for imlie, but that’s not her perception or choice of a good future lol. Her idea (actually shown once too, she was dreaming of it when she was with AKT) is making rotis for the family while she serves and they’re all smiles and praise her

I think what would have saved this for me and made it much better is if they cared even a little about imlie’s side of the story and how she needs to progress too and actually showed her uncomfortable with the tripathis even a little, but bound by her cultural upbringing, thinking this is her duty. But she’s not tired or exhausted or uncomfortable she loves it! And she genuinely is sad she’s being taken away from ‘her family’. And the family’s abuse is no longer being addressed, instead they’re good people wanting best for her. So who is she being protected from? AKT? He too is being presented a bechara who imlie may still be pining after..

This frozen in time imlie, giving no thoughts to how her ex sasural abused her, overlooking how her ex sl*t shamed her. Having seen 100 comparisons of better and worse and still not caring, pining for ex’s fam means she actually just.. likes the tripathis and genuinely wants to be with them. No conflict, nothing. So what is aryan even protecting her from? He’s just trying to mould her into someone she’s not because he’s made this false heightened version of her in his head and put her on some pedestal he is having trouble seeing she’s not suitable for and in the process, losing himself.

And it messes with the couple dynamics for me a lot that only sindoor is what can make imlie like or think about aryan and not the 101 things he did for her. And that he has to force her to see him.

not that I don’t enjoy stories like typical gul’s I have liked most her pairs, it’s just arylie were introduced and built up different I had really looked forward to a second chance story but seems like she didn’t want to let go of the better ml narrative and also wanted her force marriage fantasy included so it’s a mixed up mess right now.. again, imlie’s side is what makes it uncomfortable now. there is no progress like they don’t care she’s also a part of this pair.. and the story would need to include her progression too..

I am just upset for all the better ways they didn’t take, even better in this force marriage thing.. and kept imlie bound to akt and ts till the end..

Today when she said how did she get so lucky to meet the tripathis and then how aryan was trying to separate her from her loved ones, i just face palmed.

She WANTS to be a doormat. It makes her happy. Her life ambition is not to be successful but to be with the tripathis in their house. Nothing that he has done for her registers in her brain beyond the one token lecture she gave to akt and then promptly backtracked 30 seconds later.

Like you said - you have to show that she is atleast uncomfortable with how the tripathis treat her for aryan to "save" her.

I dunno. This episode realllllllly ruined their dynamics for me.

sabki yahi halat hai. aaj ka epi dekh kar alag gussa aa gaya imlie par. i mean ek taraf wo aryan ke saath rehne mein itni comfortable hai ki uape jump kar sakti hai par dimaag khol ke soch nahi sakti ki wo aisa kyu kar raha hai. tody cos she told sita maiyya i only want video, aryan should really gie her the video n tell her to choose if she wnt she can marry whover she wnat in the same mandap.

Like come on, how do you expect me to understand the fl and root for the pair when she says she’s lucky to meet people who threw water on her sleeping face, called her and her mom naagins who are after money and went ‘oh shit she’s illegitimate too? can never accept a girl like her’, forced her to sleep on the floor while they try and reunite her husband with his second wife and stop their divorce, all of that just thrown under the rug it was just maa baap ka pyaar wala ghussa 🥴

and for everything narmada and arpita did for her, barely any thoughts or lucky feeling, and aryan ke liye ek baat sun li usne do baat suna di toh rakshas is here why rakshas was ready to die in pagdandia for her, threw malini akt’s, his enemy’s, biggest problem out of his life for her, yeh bhi thrown under the rug lol
