The latest trend in Pakistani dramas !

Hello everybody. 😊

I just noticed a new trend (maybe an old one but I've just noticed it😆) . It is a song and a dance performance.💃

In one week 3 dramas showed a long shot of a dance performance :

1) Angna : It is the 2nd ep .. mehendi of 2 couples, and we had a song picturied on Azfu, Areeba, Ali Abbas and Rabab.. dthey danced an lip sinked too😃

2 ) Badzaat : Urwa did few dances in the marriage functions.. but the longest one was on the nikah day of Ali Abbas' sister. Ali , Zohreh joined her , and Imran Ashraf did few steps too , as he was hooked.😳

3) Dil Zar Zar: I don't know whose marriage was that.. I've just noticed that Azfu and Hina were dancing..😳

I don't know if they are trying to compet with Indian dramas or what! 🤓 But it doesn't go well with the characters sometime, like Ali Abbas and Imran Ashraf are shown as introverts in (Angna and Badzaat) so dancing came out of no where!

What do you think guys?

I remember in the baraat series (takkay ki ayegi baraat, Annie ki ayegi baraat, dolly ki ayegi baraat) series they used to dance a lot, as it is a shaadi series.

Tbh this is also one of the reasons I hate Pakistani dramas, what I loved about them was the simplicity of them, they didn't have all that dumbass drama. It's what made them different them from Indian serials. Parizaad brought that feeling that everyone loves from Pakistani dramas back from a short minute. But the current Pakistani dramas are trash with dancing or no dancing. There's no reality anymore , totally lost the plot

Personally I don't mind there being some nice positive moments in shows instead of beatings or stupid dialogues. We don't need to constantly say it's "copying India". Many shows in many countries have these style scenes in their shows because not everything needs to pain 24/7 in a drama. But I do think this trend is going to be short-lived since our audience enjoys suffering 🤣

My only issue is that they do it in a way where it seems weird, like you said, Ali Abbas suddenly got up and danced in Angna. I don't watch Badzaat but isn't Imran Ashraf supposed to be ultra-conservative in the show 😆

To be very honest the song and dance numbers and better costumes and make up are very much welcome

All the time we don't have to watch hardcore reality

Lights moments r very much welcome as long as they r well executed

What has to stop is showing domestic violence and suspecting the heroines character all the time

There should be balance for everything

HUM TV was a pro in the heroine character suspicions up until 2020-21 season 😆

I agree. Even in the dramas I mentioned those dances are shown in marriages.. although they are shot longer than usual , with lip sinking too.😳

Fans of Pakistani dramas are of different ages.. some like simplicity, others like lavish locations, expensive dresses, and all. It seems like a fashion show.😆

In fact I don't relate to these dramas which have rich families do lots of shoppings and live in huge buildings. I relate the middle class pased dramas more.. 😊 Although the others can be entertaining sometimes.😃

Yes. Watching the whole cast dancing and singing is entertaining, much better than endless suffering.

I am glad you are enjoying these happy moments in dramas. 😃 I can't deny that they are entertaining .😉

I hope Pakistani dramas get rid of those domestic violence scenes or try to reduce them. They are disturbing.
