What a misleading headline. Sooryavanshi made around 196cr. Gangubai will not make that. Since it will cross the 110cr mark, and that was the benchmark for a hit (I’m not even arguing whether 110 is the right profit number for distributors or not), it will be a hit movie. But at this point it probably will not even reach 120cr let alone 196cr.
What BOI means is at this point in its third Sunday it made a little more than Sooryavanshi did on its third Sunday.
