Finding this show a bit OTT & stereotypical. The whole way they are treating the FL by people being repulsed by her and not wanting to be touched by her...like come.the f on...it's so stupid. Also why does EVERY show dark skinned women as frumpy, ugly & not taking care of themselves?? Is it one writer behind all.these shows? Such crap

On top of it the foundation applied on the FL's is similar to a chocolate topping.

Swati Rajput's complexion is fair. The casting director ought to have selected a wheatish or dusky actress for the role.

This serial has lot of potential. ( my view thou) if only they had casted a dark actress, it could have made things better. Puolami Das is an excellent actress. Don't know why they didn't cast her instead.

Poulomi Das was the lead of Karthik Purnima(2020) which is also a adaptation of the same story ... may be thats why they ddnt cast her in this one...

Kartik Purnima was good but got cancelled due to pandemic

The FL in that show was also given darker foundation & made to look like the housekeeper

Same here with Diya

Who walks into work looking like she hasn't groomed herself in weeks? The foundation makes her face look dirty, her hair/wig looks like she hasnt combed her hair in days & overall drab look is awful

If someone looking like that came into any office they wouldn't put him/her in a client facing role.

The stylists & show staff are so out of touch with today's reality. The show feels so silly and outdated.

I would have preferred to see Diya like Palki...smart, stylish & outgoing. But still always put down due to darker complexion. That would have made more sense than showing some girl who looks like she came from a zoo

My issue is why not actually cast a dark skinned actress. If they r talking about such issues why they don’t have guys to take the leap. Kind of hypocrite

This show is going to be highly regressive in case they follow the original(Karthika Deepam). After marriage, the ML would doubt FL's character and throw her out of the house while she's pregnant and keeps treating her like shit until he gets to know the truth..This would be the main plotline for a great period of time.
