1 itty bitty tiny positive- Imlie gets to see Aryan defend her unlike some other husbands she knows. Now she just needs him to throw these breeches out the door for her sake. Then she can fully comprehend how different his treatment is of Imlie vs how her other husbands tolerated her own mistreatment.

Everything was these tests that the mil (bhabho) made the bahu do and the husband would watch mutely. I vaguely remember that she wanted to go for the exam and bhabho had 3 matkas and everytime the girl would make a mistake, one matka would be broken. When all 3 were broken then no exam giving allowed or something. And the husband sirf naam ka support deta tha while the girl had these bizarre tests to do to be allowed to do anything. She was emotionally tortured.

I find that family similar to tripathis and aditya rather than rathores and aryan

I hated, hated, hated the show. Because unlike others it pretended to be progressive but was anything but that. Aryan jaisa kuch karta toh bhabho ko toh heart attack hi aa jaata

Oooof yeah Diya aur Baati used to be a favorite for an undeveloped Radical.. In hindsight that entire show was on something else.

The similarities are there but I hope that they can just have Aryan be a supportive husband to Imlie and actually use his actions. I am still super disappointed and upset at him but I know he is more of an action man. This track with guddi will show us if his actions translate to his "relatives" too.

No one can make imlie helpless. He asked and given a choice to her then she accepted the deal. Now what is the point on running out, deep inside she also knows Akt how much he is wrong even though she is little soft towards him. She says she hates Aryan?? Really. Her words and actions are different because deep inside she don't hate him. Due to trauma of first marriage she is very afraid and top of it she is marrying ASR but now she will realize and feel the difference because ARyan going to make sure of that

I understand that many people here are apprehensive of this track as it shows lack of agency for Imlie…she is being played by giving a choice even though everyone knows there is no choice… but my only counter is that sometimes for a person you love…you have take decisions on their behalf as they themselves are not able to… Imlie is standing in the eye of the storm she is not able to see beyond the next challenge that the T family throws at her…toh she has no perspective of what this approach is doing to her life… and others around are also enabling her and not giving clarity… e.g. when Aparna was hospitalised.,,Aryan said that Aparnaji needs a doctor and what can a 19 yr old do…then both his mother and sister gave him a shut up call saying “parivar etc”…. When Adi was kidnapped in PD and Imlie was arrested…they did not go to Malini to take back the complaint…but were confident that “Imlie hi Adi ko bacha sakti hain”….in the second re-marriage track of Adini…these guys look down on Chaturvedi’s par poori shaadi ache kapde pehenkar enjoy kari par for Imlie…mere Adi ko bacha le…
