She says we would have celebrated it tomorrow, when he mentions that she will be back at Sandhu's and he is not welcomed there. Rupi don't like him anywhere near her. She hold his hand and tries to console him and ask him to enjoy this moment of their togetherness. Another song follows with dance.
These are the two things that stood out to me... (Also, thanks for the update Ashi ā¤)
1) So Fateh understands she doesn't want to get J in trouble (or maybe he just doesn't want her to stress herself) and he's gonna go ahead (YASSSS #TeamFateh). Tejo on the other hand is thinking how to divert him from his resolve š”. The gap between their priorities are widening. His for his family, hers for her family. I wonder if Fateh could be breakdown in the future and ask her to choose between him and his family, and Jasmine. [Now this is a good misunderstanding track]. Whether J uses this as an opportunity to split FT or not... whatever. She might be looking to use Tejo to cover up the entire accident track once more and Fateh will be so pissed when he finds out. (Note: Jasrik's closeness will definitely play into J's hand; Tejo mata will not want to separate two people 'in love' )
2) So Tejo rmbrs that Rupi won't allow Fateh in. And instead of asking him to sneak in or brave Rupi's wrath, she's like 'oh okay, it's too bad, we'll just celebrate together here', which imo is a good step forward personally in their own relationship, but the downfall is the fact that they didn't speak of important stuff (again), Tejo not doing anything herself, and not wanting Fateh to do anything to win Rupi's favour either, which suggests more about her outlook of Fateh rather than a need for no conflict on her birthday (which deserves but wouldn't she want the man she loves in her bday party?). Idk, this whole thing screams 'who'll be more accepted by family and society rather than who i want, but can't accept because of unresolved trauma' (let's not forget Angad baba)
Precap is definitely a dream, if you look at how the episode flowed. Fateh could also spy on the party without exposing himself, and papa Rupi's very telling but vague statement, expect to see Angad in the stupid party with a giant ass gift and Tejo happily accepting that... so maximum heartbreak for F, not only retribution, but betrayal in a different sense because Tejo also put Jasmine above the many people in the Virk family that also love her...
You guys are mentioning her God complex a lot. It's been more apparent from the recent episodes. Sabaji took one of Tejo's qualities that was veering towards flaw (but still balanced) and made it into a very steep fall into a true flaw, that's damaging to the people around her. Idk if tejo realises she's harboring a criminal's secret, and enabling that behaviour to expand, she'd be becoming an accomplice to said crimes. Also, i wouldn't say this is narcissism yet but, the idea that you could decide for many people, that it would be the only right choice and refuse to accept other opinions, that your blood (and your close family) can do not fault anymore because they've already suffered, per your dictation, because the 'she's my sister' sentiment... It's kind of falling close to it anyway.
