I think after separation there will be personality reversal between ram and priya in few aspects. Like:
Priya barish dekh ke khush hone lagegi bcz it reminds her of Ram whereas ram will start avoiding rain and will get angry bcz priya is not there anymore and rain is a painful reminder of their memories.
Priya will become more warmer around strangers as it is Ram's personality and to keep in touch with his memories but ram will go cold around his family and everyone.
Priya will start eating sweets and ram will stop eating them. And so on. It will make sense that Priya wants to cherish the memories to keep Ram alive in herself and Ram wants to keep himself away from all the memories as they are painful to remember bcz Priya left him, breaking his heart.

Since you are forcing me to think this, how about Ram symbolized the ocean and Pri symbolized the deep water in the ocean and sky?
Ram's kurta color is exactly the mossy sea-green color near the spumes we see in the Pacific Ocean and as you mentioned Pri was in turquoise.
If the art department thinks so deeply, then kudos to them. I highly doubt though that they will go this deep.
