Holyfu*k I have never known this! What happened? I mean honestly I have been neutral. Didn't know something happened. Actually liked the director he makes really good comedy.
Chris Evans is just so sweet and adorable😘
The director's other stuff are good. So Chris H suggested him to marvel to make Thor more relevant (cause Loki gets more fans and people like him more in general). Chris H didn't like the Shakespeare in space theme Thor carried and wanted to do cheap comedy a.k.a. play himself on screen. Got his good friend to come, good friend shits on Loki openly in interviews (indirect insult to Tom's hardwork), 'respectfully disrespect' Loki's character, calls him a spoilt prince? (can't rmbr the exact quote but dismisses Loki's sufferings to just teenage angst or sth), does that scene were his suicide attempt brushed off as comedy and pissed many people off. Some speculated CH was jealous of TH because of Loki's popularity: very likely cause if you see them in panels and red carpets after that, they weren't that close anymore, TW and TT made of fun of Tom during some event, can't rmbr, TW said he could play Loki as good as TH when it was TH's hardwork who made the character so famous. (Tbh, it ruined the nuance of Thor's character too 🤬) Anyway, wanted to prop up Thor by shitting on Loki. General shitshow. The Swift-Hiddleston thing happened right about then too. I wasn't in the fandom yet, so i escaped all that, but some people started hating the original Thor movies, mis-characterized Loki and now it's led to the series (which pissed off most original fans).
Oh, and on an off note, CH suggested some terrible toilet humour in EG which thankfully didn't make it into the final cut. He really, really didn't like the aesthetic of the Asgardian side of Thor.
So yeah, I don't like him bec of the rivalry, but I also don't like him as person even without the stupid rivalry/jealousy or whatever he wants to call it.
sorry about the rant. I went off tangent, but this is the closest I can get to summarizing it.
