I had said it yesterday that he would have been perfectly happy with Sai, wouldn't have wanted any other family.

If you notice, he specifically mentioned that when he got married to Sai, his mom was the only one who stood by him. At that time too, i think he didn't expect so much of vitriol from his family.

Over there shruti entered when emon already was in her final year.. So probably she 22/23

Here Sai is in second year.. Sai is 19
