i didn't saw this show when aired but came across arakshi ff and started liking pair and watched arakshi scenes and loved it very much thanks to all amazing arakshi writers.

i had recently started watching the show

dialogues i liked

epi 6

arjun : Muze do chizo se sakt nafrat hai

Ek hai Galat attitude

Aur dusra galat jawab

and arjun asked questions after puncturing football rathore warn him that he can't interogate kids like that they are not criminals

arjun's anwer : Agar criminals hote toh inki football nahi sar puncture kardeta

and after finding those boys stubborn rathore repeat what arjun does😆

Bachhe cum gunde jyada hai inhe interrogate karna padega

liked chhotu smash that gardener who caught two students👏

I ended up watching Episode 2: Honour Killing on Hotstar and thought of dissecting it a bit.

Firstly, liked how the plot builds up.

Starting with Arjun being convinced to join ETF.

Sameer annoyed expression while introducing him as Second-in-command. Prima facie, the team calling the case dust-bin duty to work on documentation of an open-and-shut case.

Shree, Riya amd Chotu vomplaining of being caught between two lions.

Sameer interrogating a bigada hua bachcha and prime suspect.

Arjun's keen observation and Riya's attempted demo, Chotu wanting to throw Arjun off the terrace , Arjun extracting truth from the eye witness.

A peek into stark contrasts with Miss hygiene-freak cleaning the rim of the coffe mug wigh a tissue and Arjun relishing a tapriwali cutting.

Arjun's zameen hilanewali discovery of the missing scarf and travel to Jaipur. The smirk when Sameer says, "Is shehar se jurm ki gandagi saaf karte karte shayad hum, hum nahin rahe, aur shayad tum bhi tum nahin rahoge, Shree".

(Dono bosses bachchon ke maze le rahe hain)

Kaniika's (victim) sister Bhoomika's smart move to reveal the culprits and the location where the other victim and Bhoomika's boyfriend, Joy.

The realisation by Arjun and Sameer about the culprits infront of a clueless team.

The fight on the Haweli's outhouse, Arjun's drag chase and finally Riya giving an earful to Kanika's mother for killing her daughter in the name of honour.

Arjun's narration: "Izzat se pyaar karne ke bajay agar log ek doosre se apne pyaar ki izzat kare toh baat bane".

What I did not understand was the discussion between Arjun and Sameer when

Sameer says "Yaha dimag sirf tumhare paas nahin hain. Meri team me har ek insaan sirf isiliye hain kyun ke woh best hain"

Arjun replies, "Matlab tum us ladke par case sirf isiliye chalaoge kyun ki main keh raha hn ki woh beqasoor hain?"

(Kehna kya chahte ho, bhai. Context hi samajh nahin aaya.)

Sameer replies "Itni ghatiya soch nahin hain meri"

But that look of disbelief and hurt by Sameer was calculated and apt.

Talking of technicalities, the background score throughout was pertinent to the location and situation. Fights as usual, well choreographed. Dialogues were just the right amount, although, the meatiest were with Arjun.

What are your views?

Its something to do with how Jun hijacked the first kidnapping case (Sam didnt like him there but he had no choice as seniors took that call), then he was there as second IC. He does have a habit to work solo and do it all hence the jibe -dimag sirf tumhare pas. Jun's retort that of course Sam wont trust him, and maybe to drag to conflict let an innocent suffer.

Thing is we dont know what happened in past between these two friends beyond that Sam didnt trust him on Rosh death. So not surprising that Sam wont trust him on daily basis work too.

True that! They had a huge history backed by even bigger Egos.

This and the Roshni shraddh sequence were cryptic and frankly went way above my little head.

sam trust all his team member but not arjun coz of roshini's death

and arjun asking that will he file case on boy who is innocent as per him just for their fights or differences to which sam replied itani ghatiya soch nahi meri.

between sam's statement that they lost their identity lives in clearing this mess by criminal was touchy.

They and their relationship/friendship was beyond f*ed and throughout the show you get the hints of their love, understanding of each other and the hatred, here Sameer hates Arjun and Arjun hates himself because he couldn't save Roshni.

In one the flashback scenes, when Arjun is dressed in khakhi Sameer says he's sending his best friend (Roshni) to the safest house in Mumbai and that he trusts him (Arj) enough to take care of Roshni, shows how his trust was shattered with her death. The existence of Sikander was always questioned for some reason and they were never same again.

I'll always be mad that they didn't give us enough backstory. 😭 there was so much to explore but we do have some really amazing stories here to keep going!

Exactly, remember discussing this earlier too.

Sameer has cut ties with Arjun owing to him not being able to save Roshni (his other bestie).

On the one hand, Sameer denies the existance if Sikander to the extent of hurting Arjun repeatedly and on the other, Sameer has level 5 clearance and access to information stored in a hard disk that could potentially lead to Sikander which he is deliberately hiding. Sameer has multiple disappearance acts only to appear in the end with a file and a reconciliation hug.
