The 2nd annual Vijay Awards 2007

Hey kollywoodians🤗,

The 2nd annual Vijay Awards 2007 was held on May 3rd, 2008 at Jawarharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium amidst much glitz and glamour. The function saw almost all big stars of Kollywood like K.Balachandar, mr & mrs Maniratnam, Balumahendra, KS.Ravikumar, AR.Rahman, Prabhudeva, Vijay, PrakashRaj, Sathyaraj, Nayantara, Priyamani, Kushboo, Sangeetha, Karthi, Dhanush, Venkat Prabhu, Prabhu etc

*The award for the 'Favorite hero' was given to Rajnikanth (Sivaji).

*The special award 'Entertainer of the Year' declared by the Jury was given to Ilayathalapathy Vijay (Pokkiri & Azagiya Thamizh Magan)

*Best male award - Sathyaraj (Onbadhu Roobai Nottu)

*Best female award - Priyamani (Paruthiveeran)

*Best music director - AR.Rahman (Sivaji)

*Best newcomer male- Karthi (Paruthiveeran)

*Best newcomer female - Anjali (Karthathu Tamizh)

*Best Supporting Actor - Prakash Raj (Mozhi)

*Favorite heroine - Nayantara (probaly for her bikini stunt in Billa😆)

*Favorite film - Pokkiri (My Godness...they couldnt find any other movie than this copy movie from telugu😕)

*Favorite director - Prabhu Deva

*Best Find of the Year award Venkat Prabhu (Chennai - 600028)

*The prestigious 'Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan award for excellence in Tamil Cinema' was presented to Maniratnam👏

*Best Playback Singer Male award - Krish (june ponale from Unnale unnale)

vijay once again hasn't disappointed me. he is looking like a perfect peon in the picture. dude.. tuck in your shirt, wear a better shirt, complete the shirt with a coat, do something to spice it up. dress like you're going for an award function & not like it's saturday evening at home.😆😆😆 i SO SO badly want to go to india to design some nice stuff for vijay. he'll look really gorgeous if he dresses well. he has the looks, it's a pity his costumes always kill it all.😔

ar. rahman looks average to me. not too scruffy but nothing special either. ARR always wears such dull colours. maybe he should try a pastel coloured shirt with a black coat. he'll look fab.

karthi looks cute as usual. love the shirt but like jenim said, he should have worn an undershirt to save himself from all the embarassment. KS ravikumar should have opted for pants instead. i really wonder why some film personalities wear JEANS to award functions??😕

nayantara looks good but she has looked a lot better in other functions. she should go easy on the foundation cos she looks like a painted wall in the close up.😆😆

prakashraj like vijay seems to be dressed for a saturday evening at home instead of an award function. he can most to most pass of as kushboo's badly dressed bodyguard. kushboo however is a vision in that lovely grand sari. now she's the first one i've seen in the pics who is aptly dressed for an award show. kushboo is looking ravishing!😳😳

prabu deva is really humble & simple but please dude.. you could have at least worn a long sleeved shirt with a nice pair of pants. he looks SO underdressed for an award function. like a lightman or a driver. uff..😔

KB & maniratnam look good. simple but not too casual. i wouldn't expect anything less from veterans like these 2.

satyaraj also looks fine but almost unrecognisable with that beard.

KS ravikumar should chuck the jeans out his window & start dressing like an ace director. the girl beside him looks fine though. i like her red dress.😊

ohh.. krish is so yummylicious. i really like the white shirt & brown jacket combo. sangeeta looks pretty as usual, she has a good eye for fashion. jeeva is handsome & classy.

WOW! is that dhanush? gosh.. he looks amazing!👏👏 really.. it feels so good to see him dress well. usually he has the same peon like fashion sense of vijay's but this time he looks just so handsome in that outfit.😳😳 uma looks very pretty too. in fact i think she looks better than nayantara in this function.😉

hehe.. i like to analyse star's outfits, can't help it.😛 i'm planning to take a course on designing ditty. i have lots of ideas but my drawing needs a LOT of improvment.😆😆

hmm.. sada's body never suits any type of clothing? then what was she wearing in all her films? rice sacks?😛

oho.. what's this? shifted from jothika to sada have you not? why do you suddenly have a grudge against sada? the last time i checked you were fine with her. or is it because you've something against me cos this particular topic has nothing to do with sada at all.

sada has the type of body that most heroines from bombay have. the lanky built. i think shreya & sada have the same body types but still you say shreya's a perfect 10 while sada doesn't suit any type of costumes at all. the logic is somehow missing.

yep, sada is an ugly duckling, she can never be a drop dead gorgeous beauty but she is beautiful in her own way. didn't the same ugly duckling turn into a beautiful swan?😛

sada was one of the first few people to feel bad for jeeva when he died. she said jeeva's untimely demise was a loss for kollywood & that she had lost a dear friend as well.

oh why am i even bothering with these explainations? then people will start insisting they are armed with the right facts & they'll start accusing me of being a blind sada fan & it'll lead to another tug of war in this forum. once was already more than enough. pothumada saami.. ala vidiungae..😆😆

however this sudden critisising of sada in a thread totally unrelated to her looks a bit wrong if you ask me. like an open provocation.. hmm..
