Deepika in Gehraiyaan or Alia in Gangubai?

Vote and comment, for those who have seen both films.

Seen both movies; Alia by a mile. Deepika although good with expressions still struggles with dialogue delivery in Gehraiyaan. It was a good performance but nothing spectacular.

Alia on the other hand delivered her career best performance, topping even Udta Punjab. Not to mention her body language in Gangubai, monologues, subtle moments, as well as histrionics, were on point.

Alia in Gangubai wins by miles, not just against Deepika but every other actress from the recent times. Someone said it rightly, it was literally Gangubai Dinanath Chauhan- a once in a lifetime character for a female actor and Alia killed it with her performance. Unfair comparison, to be honest!

I mean the question literally says, better performance. I don't know how much more self explanatory it gets from there 🤓

Gangubai by some distance. A much tougher role to play.

Alia in Gangubai. I have seen both films. Alia was sooo amazingg that all of us were shocked at how well she nailed it.

Alia is good as an actor but nowhere close to being great as she's being lauded by Bollywood. Except of course when we compare her to the likes of Deepika, who can't act at all😆. Even her Gehraiyaan is being praised because she actually moved a facial muscle or two in the right direction unlike her usual *acting.*

Deepika was great in gehraiyan but alia in gangu is another league of its own..no comparison here
