Yes, that’s because the actress who plays Meena became pregnant in real life, so it worked out really well.
Baby track was a problem only for Dhanam at the beginning, even then it had a positive ending. They beautifully showed how a 35 yr old could still have a healthy baby. Now Mullai is facing some issues.

No. Chaubeys were there then also. But they had raghuveer shekhawat too. He is an award winning dialogue writer. Often many PH hire such known people who lay down the foundation of a show as the beginning is really important to gain Viewership. after that they leave. This is what I have heard 😆

Was age the factor for Dhanam's pregnancy or was it something else, like contraceptives? Because 35 still isn't very old to get pregnant, right?!

Contraception was never shown to be a problem in Dhanam’s case. She was off of it after the devars got married, since then she was trying to get pregnant, happened after 2 1/2 years into the show.
Now the show has completed 3 1/2 years. Dhanam is shown to have a 3 month old baby boy and Meena’s daughter turned 1 recently.

Writers only write MU for shivi.. Why they are not writing anything substantial for them? They have such good potential even story wise but they are just stretching the MU forever... Atleast Rishita is getting different track.. Like sagar & now this career vs child but with shivi they are just stagnant! Why?? They can write their understanding, sharing their issues with each other, they both have so much issues with family, both of them trying to understand each other Shiva supporting Raavi in front of his mother, their education track, they have so much to explore but they are stretching MU like anything!

The segment and the promo confused the living daylights out of me. Really don't know what to expect.
