She is a very limited actor and not hardworking.
I don’t find her interesting on screen
She has a very mechanical almost heroinish approach to all her roles barring her first 3 films maybe
She seems particularly obsessed with the way she looks on screen which is a turn off …it robs her off character authenticity …an example being her “deliberately smudged but consistently bold throughout” eye makeup in the girl in the train…
She would do better if she stopped caring so much abt her looks / weight / looking as good/ wanting to be a heroine like the other girls and concentrates on her character

I think she, Siddhart Malhotra and Arjun Kapoor are the kind of actors from whom Director can either extract the best Or worst.
They are the same couple in HTP and Jabariya Jodi, one movie, they share such a beautiful chemistry and other you just want to throw someone out, who, you still can't figure out even after credits roll.
I won't judge Parineeti for taking a break for working on her body, but she should have spent equal, if not more time, on her scripts.
So yeah, credit where due, if she is fire on screen, for me, it's the director and the script writer who give her a role where is sort of forced to her give her best.
I still thikh SAPF are Arjun and Parineeti's best, and that movie doesn't get the due it deserves🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just watched it reading your comment.
I liked it. You were so right. She and Arjun are director's actors. I had tried to watch Jabariya jodi but, I don't know: story? acting? clothes? what didn't work for me.. but I couldn't complete it at all. I thought Parineeti has changed, she stopped delivering as before.
About movie, it was little overwhelming in between, her state.. But, last scene kind of made up for it.
But, I felt it needs a continuation, an epilogue maybe..
If you ever feel like it, please write on it.😅
I want to read those uncle aunty's pov, that woman's pov did she feel empathy for Sandeep at the end and let her go and what would be her condition then after? And also Parichay's state, just the narration by that journalist didn't satisfy me..

Agreed. Very talented actress let down by her own poor role choices.
Agree, but her poor choices in films and script is only part of the problem. Her obsession with her own body and weight backfired on her. She wanted to lose weight and become healthy, more power to her. But for about two years her PR and marketing put all the focus on her weight loss. She had a big hit with Golmaal Again and even though that’s an Ajay movie she could have still gotten a lot of mileage out of it being the lead female. She got great reviews for GOTT, Pinky, and Saina’s biography. I know these movies flopped but a good PR can shift the focus on the positives she got. Instead she made headlines for saying she’s grateful for having been body shamed. So on top of whatever bad choices she’s made with movies and body obsession she needs a much better PR and marketing team.
