You want to know who the real credit should go to? Check out Alia’s performance in Kalank which is another period drama where she comes across as wooden, fake and pretentious. Now compare that to the Brilliant performance of Gangu. Enough said!

I am sure had the movie flopped everyone here would have slandered alia and alia alone. Nobody would have questioned great slb . Right from time this movie was announced it is not slb but alia who has been bullied so she deserves this hype

Seriously though, I’m having a discussion and speculating like everyone else. OK, for argument’s sake say I’m totally wrong about my speculations. Movie was sold to distributors for 90cr. How is it a hit with 105cr when any movies needs to make about 50% above distributors prices to be a hit. Some even said it will be a hit with 85cr. BOI said it just needs 65cr to be a hit. Explain all this to me please.

No I was talking about you saying that they are making it a fake hit so that the morale of BW rises....its not that easy....money is involved...big money....no one is going to say its a hit if its not...tax kaun bharega??😆

and I really don't care especially for a female actor if the movie is hit or not ...makes a 100 cr or not....a female actor making 39-40 cr in the first weekend is enough when for most of the female centric movies....this is not even the life time collection...not making fun of the Divas....but its a fact that BW audience shower their love on male stars but rarely on female stars....so whenever that happens...its a matter of jubilation for sure...😆

Its a fact....seen during Sanju's time...first Ranbir was going to give Hirani his first flop....and now it is the second biggest BW hit...the credit is going to Hirani, story, Sanjay is a criminal, cameraman and his dog...but not to Ranbir..🤣

Seriously i dont see itna kya problem ho rahi haa accept karne main ki alia is loved by general audience .She has just proved herself . Pta nahi kaunsa sadistic pleasure mil jayega iss movie ko flop declare karke when its still going strong . I am sure by the way this movie is performing everyone including the distrubutors would get their share of profit

Arey i am not discrediting slb or even raju hirani but these two were not slandered and abused the way Rk and alia are . So they deserve the hype after movie s success

I disagree. I think a lot of people will say it’s a hit even if it’s not. Tax department doesn’t look at what some analysts said on twitter. They’ll look at actual receipts and paper trails. I’m not suggesting anyone is cheating. I’m not even saying the numbers they are giving are false. I’m saying these numbers are not making it a hit.

I understand being excited about a female centric movie getting good reviews or making around 38ce in one weekend. I respect that. But responding to a discussion about numbers and profits with sarcasm about dukh and gusa or calling someone a hater or jealous (not you) is … 🤷🏻‍♀️
