Bilkul bhi nahin! Suvarna only messed up once during the Bombay track, otherwise she's always been pretty balanced, but this Manjari is just stupid and her slavish love for her son is so disgusting!

Yes very overrated. And she was terribly miscast as Anna. I agree she doesn't fit period pieces well. In Love Actually, I never got why the friend (forgetting his name...) was so in love with her, there didn't seem to be anything special about her. I really liked the book Atonement and while she was not bad in the movie, I didn't think she or James McAvoy fit their characters all that well. I liked her in the movie adaptation of Never Let Me Go (although I didn't expect to). Highly recommend that book if you haven't read it, by the way.

Nooo - what are you telling me, austen?? That I won't suddenly hear a wondrous AWAAZ and bam! just find my true wuv dream man, propose to him, propose to his brother, torture him emotionally, hang upside down in a tree till he agrees to marry me, and then live happily ever after?🤣

I don't know why I'm so anti-marriage (my parents seem happy enough in theirs) but somewhere I do view it as restricting. You're probably right, I'm not at a point in my life where it is something I feel ready for. My mindset might shift in the next few years - or if it doesn't, I have this horrible nightmare that my mother will hire an Indian matchmaker aunty for me🤣🤣

Don't you think Keira Knightley is overrated? I so disliked her as Elizabeth too in P&P.. Didn't watch her Anna bcz hadn't read the book but go ahead and talk about it, it'll probably be some time before I finish it which is stuck somewhere in the beginning still. ☹️

Keira doesn't seem to look right in period pieces and her acting doesn't lift her above. She was alright in Atonement and Love Actually which is the other two I've seen her in.

And about marriage, well, you girls seem to have a rather biased and (imbalanced?unhealthy?), not sure which adjective to use sorry if I sound offensive... but what I'm saying is there are other ways to look at it.. I guess it's that you need to be at the time in your life where you're ready for it.. If you're not, and if the idea of marriage itself is unpalatable then even the best of men won't make it work. I don't think in real life it works like it did for Jija, that you don't believe in something and suddenly love happens and everything works! 😒

I gotta side with austen-eliot on this one, Snow...

Suvarna went nuts after Shubham's death through the Bombay track but before and after that she was a Naira-bhakt. I preferred the first Suvarna though, this one is mostly just window dressing.

I feel, awful as they were in S2, the Goenkas have mellowed in S3 compared to the Birlas but I 100% agree that Abhimanyu and Akshu are unbearable.

Akshu is 22 years old but she still behaves like a small child 😷 Abhimanyu is a heart surgeon but woh doctor nahi mentally ill lagta hai.

Both are childish yaar... and last week's episodes which I mostly FF'ed through while waiting for my flight yesterday were unbearable too. I hated Akshu's repeated 'reeeeally sorrys' to Abhimanyu for wondering aloud about something perfectly reasonable - that if their love is meant to be, why is it this difficult and causing so much pain to their families. I also hated her earrings! They looked like mini pagodas and you could see her earlobes being dragged down😲 Naira used to wear similarly load-bearing earrings - although sometimes she wore simple classy diamond studs.
Abhimanyu is definitely a ticking time bomb - his reactions to Akshu talking, thinking or spending time with her family are so daraavana
