Maine ek alag thread par bhi bola tha, they didn’t think ki iss character ko itna appreciation milega and now doing anything to this track will lead to a major showdown with the audience. They are basically stuck in the middle of managing audience and the friendship

Main toh bolti hoon, trash uncle ke liye koi new serial banao ya uski kahin setting karwa do. Alternatively, do a spin off and show some other trash focussed story.
