I know this dear. Being an agnostic person I see all religions same. And I adore these characters for the cultural, linguistic richness they give.

I have studied Mahabaratam in school, so I have an idea of the characters and gods in them. Then Ramayana stories also we have heard.

We somehow like to project our beauty standards to gods too. Never understood why Jesus looks like an American, and Lord Krishna 'Neelameghashyama' who should be the colour of dark rain clouds is either powder blue or fair! Facepalm!

My family is Christian and I'm non religious so. But I like all the festivities in our region, we all milke celebrate here!

So there is one that they do when a girl gets her first period. There is hawan and then parents give a Holi sanan to the girl with curd and a couple more things which I don't remember bcz it happened like 10 years ago but this all doesn't happen in Punjabi families. But bcz my family is very to that south indian family so my parents celebrated it for me too. And after the Pooja there was party with the entire family invited. I got a lot a gifts 😆
