Brilliant, brilliantly mounted movie that tugs at your heartstrings big time. I feel like SLB has truly poured his soul in a movie after more than a decade in this one.

Alia is phenomenal, I'm yet to register how incredible she was in it. She's definitely gonna sweep every single award this year (without any kind of help from KJo) 👏 Who knew that this wannabe kind of girl from SOTY would have grown to be such an amazing performer?!

Ajay Devgan is perfect. Vijay Raaz is a genius and Jim Sarbh is so, so good!

Alia has been a wonderful actress since so long actually. Loved her in Highway, Raazi, Gully Boy and though I didn’t watch Udta Punjab- she apparently did a great job there as well. For an actress who was just about 10 years into the industry, she has more than a handful of fantastic performances rendered in different type of characters. Plus she can put the behinds of the people in the cinemas, I mean what else do you want from an actor? She is a bonafide star!

Can’t wait to catch the movie in the theaters. All these reviews are giving me goosebumps. 🥳

To put it simply - he was charming . Afsaan is an innocent, adorable cinnamon bun . And shantanu plays it well . He could have done better in emotional sequence but overall i liked his performance

A question to those who already watched the movie, is the movie disturbing to watch?

Too tired to read all the review in the thread so can anyone tell me Is gangubai worth a watch!? I don't like the movie songs but I was looking forward. So far people are telling me it's kinda boring. Please let me know!?

Then they clearly succeeded because the original Gangu was a mere 15 year old when sold into prostitution. It was indeed supposed to be disturbing. Plus they also made detractors like you watch the movie FDFS. A clear win!

We all know which people are at it spewing shit even before the movie fully released. Nobody cares IMDB, the haters can use it all they want to vent out their frustration there.

Nopes. Alia did some good acting but not good enough according to me. Also found movie super boring.
