Had to watch the episode on a sketchy site because Hulu betrayed me. But, it was so worth the wait.

Yesterday, Akshu poured out her heart, and today it was Abhi’s turn. The most important thing is that they are being entirely vulnerable with each other. This is how their relationship will progress.

Abhi says that Akshu fights for her family, but she does not fight for herself. He asks what kind of love is this that can be questioned at any time… he is so frustrated that their relationship keeps being insulted and disrespected. Yesterday, Akshu was not blaming Abhi. She was letting her emotions of guilt and burden flow. Today, Abhi was not blaming Akshu. He was in a way talking to himself… a part of him wishes that they had run away and gotten married, because that would mean that their love would finally be respected in society. He is sick and tired of having to give answers for something that is the biggest and purest truth of his life. He never thought that he would fall in love, and Akshu is the greatest miracle of his life. Why should he have to keep on defending that?

Even in all of his pain, Abhi could not see Akshu crying. He made sure to wipe her tears. He vent out how he has tried to solve this mess, but it keeps not working. He had flashbacks to every time, in his mind, Akshu has chosen her family over him. He is so deeply triggered and that pain was never addressed. So, it is only natural for it to come pouring out at this pain. He misinterpreted Akshu to be saying that this love is a mistake…when she was only speaking out of her vulnerability of almost losing a 4th parent.

Akshu knows that she has deeply hurt Abhi and she apologizes, admitting that even she did not know what she was saying. I felt so bad for her in this moment. Neither one of them are wrong here. Their pain is so different, and yet so much the same. Akshu keeps saying that she cannot live without him, but he is frustrated and so deeply hurt. Again, she is not choosing her family over him, but that is how it is coming across to him.

She tries to make things normal about talking about the pooja, wanting him to say that they will meet tomorrow, but he stays silent too, so she leaves. Abhi takes this as him not being important to her, but she goes home and makes a Rudraksh mala for him too. She says that just because she acts normal does not mean that she is not hurt too to Aarohi. This dialogue speaks volumes about Akshu and her differences to Abhi. Akshu sucks her feelings in, while Abhi pours them all out.

Akshu tells Aarohi that she has not forgotten what happened… and I love that she is not letting it go this time. Aarohi observed Abhira’s conversation, and she will surely try to do something out of her jealously.

Despite Abhi’s pain, he still takes care of Manish. This scene was so amazing. Manish refuses to eat, but Abhi forces him, and in that moment, he sees Kartik. Mimi realizes this, and Manish looks like he is in so much pain. Abhi has brought his son back to life. This bond is going to be beautiful to see.

The Abhi and Manjari scene was heartbreaking. Abhi says tomorrow is shivratri and that is when Shiv and Parvati united… both of them gave up things. Shiv finally settled in a home, and Parvati left behind the comfort of her palace. He is hurt, because to him, it seems that Akshu cannot leave anything behind for him. But, what he needs to understand is that Shiv, who had no home and was known for being a nomad, settled down for a family for his love. This is an exact parallel to Abhira. Abhi needs to understand the importance of family in their relationship, and Akshu also will leave behind the comfort of her own home… she will leave behind everything when the time comes (most likely adoption kaand).

The next morning, Abhi is trying to meditate, but he keeps having flashbacks of the night before. This is how Shiv was in his meditation state while Parvati was doing her penance. He kept seeing her meditating, and as a result his own meditation was interrupted. These were in the moments right before their union… and this is exactly what is happening here. Shiv was unsettled, as he was remembering Shakti as Sati… doubting her ability to become Parvati…. But Parvati proved him wrong…. And this is exactly what will happen here!! Akshu is in her penance state, and she will prove to Abhi that he is just as important to her as is her family!

Final note on mythology- Whether it was Sati or Parvati, it was the Rudraksh that always brought her to Shiv. Sati’s first encounter with Shiv was a Rudraksh, and Parvati meditated with a Rudkrash to win Shiv over. All signs are pointing in the completion of her penance!
