Meet Ahlawat and Meet Hooda are so much alike to each other… He is an obedient son and idolizes his parents.. so much that he wants to achieve something on his own… he wants to be like his father who grew from a small salesman to a business tycoon.. he wants a wife who is a split image of his mother… beauty with brains… even though Babita could easily sit at home but she still choose to work.. He is not a spoilt rich brat… He rejected girls which I am sure is not to do with beauty but he just could not see the “down to earth” quality he is looking for… Babita though has some faults but she is also not too money minded… Now he was portrayed as someone who was never involved with any girl let alone spare a second glance to her… then he met first Meet Hooda .. the girl got a spunk… she challenges him.. stands equal to him.. he was annoyed but at the same time something about her stuck with him.. that’s why he kept on imagining her everywhere… then he saw Manushi… who is beautiful no doubt.. he was smitten.. she wore a indian suit to a party which intrigued him.. then he heard the most beautiful voice he has ever heard and he fell in love with the voice… luckily his parents too hooked him up with the same girl… it was an easy decision to say yes to her… he met her … her family and she is the perfect girl he is looking for … Beauty.. down to earth and doesn’t look dumb also… then once the match got fixed.. they started their courtship.. she wanted him to do something special for her.. he first thought of buying diamonds but that was stolen .. then he took a chance and did a romantic proposal and she seemed happy and he was more convinced that this girl is simple and perfect fit for the family… on the other hand, the another girl, he became friends with her… he understood her but a misunderstanding that she is a goon who dupes people for money and he found her trust broken.. he was hurt ..and let go of his first friendship with any girl.. but he was happy that he is starting a new chapter of life with the love of his life Manushi.. so he decided to focus on that.. but as luck would have it .. she ran away.. why? he doesn’t know…. then he was forced to get married to the same girl he just resolved to hate forever… who is a con artist as per him..he got married because his father asked him to.. he also got to know how Manushi changed Kundali and everything…and Meet Hooda is her sister.. he refused to accept this new relationship but for his father still go through with it..he was angry.. he saw her getting humiliated for her appearance which was wrong but he is more concerned for his mother because his family is getting humiliated too.. over the period he realized that she is not a bad person.. but he is still hurt because she is sister to Manushi.. who has betrayed him.. he also got to know that Manushi was also not present during engagement and her sister covered up for her … he is again pissed.. his deep seated notion that she is a thief and money minded came to fore when he accused her of stealing his credit card which is also proven false.. every time he tries to pin his anger on her for something and every time he is proven wrong.. he saw her how selfless she is.. infact his father has told him that she is good hearted girl… he started caring for her but he still has something unresolved because of her sister…and when he thought he will try and get answers from her sister on the pretext of taking her for pagphere.. and she caught him.. he took out all his bottled up anger on her.. and left.. so far he has no feelings for her but a sense of comfort.. which was already there since beginning.. they bicker.. they argue but still not averse to each other.. then he was on the verge of dying and the only person he thought who could help him at that moment is her only.. because he has this trust which he himself was unaware of.. that no matter what she will turn up to save him..and she did… she saved him.. she took care of him…he woke up in a hospital but he has some memories how she struggled but saved him.. she kept on taking care of him.. it wasn’t required but she did.. she even helped him in fulfilling his mannat .. he was very much aware that he couldn’t have managed alone but didn’t ask for her help thinking she would not understand but she did.. she surprised him at every point..then she took blame for him.. so that his secret won’t be out..and this is where he has gotten used to her.. she became his friend…she is kind of an enigma for him… she is brave, she is quite similar to him… she values family and relationships..in some way she is his partner in crime.. a camaraderie is developed…he could rely on her.. he also wanted to do something for her as a friend..and he put up a surprise for her… he took a stand for her when she is again getting scolded for no reason…earlier he never took a stand due to his unresolved issues..but now he could see she is not at fault for all of that and that’s why he couldn’t understand why she is not around him to take care of him .. he questioned her.. and thought may be he did something due to which she is not talking to him.. and then she apologized… everything is good.. may be they can make this marriage work… then he got drunk.. his consciousness is swinging from present to past .. when he pulled her to dance.. he pulled MH.. then during dance he started imagining Manushi.. and then that I love you fiasco happened.. he is in and out of consciousness a couple of times.. and in that state therefore there was a confusion.. sometimes he imagined Manushi.. sometimes he could see MH…then when he got to know on gaining consciousness about what he did and what she did so that he doesn’t lose his dream project… the respect for her grew in his heart.. he felt guilty.. he decided that she doesn’t deserve all this … no matter he doesn’t love her at the moment.. but he does see her as a friend, as a partner and he could see her as a life partner too… so he decided to move on from that painful memory which is her sister.. and give their relationship a fair chance…and admitted the same to her
now in all this where does love come…honestly at this moment, he is not in love with her… he respects her, comfortable around her..he is fond of her.. and he is assure of the fact that she will be the best life partner.. as she respects his family and take care of everyone.. she is genuinely good at heart and will never leave him alone.. no matter what may come.. she will be there for him and will not let him fall.. there is a trust.. a sense of belonging.. companionship… and a teeny weeny attraction too.. subconsciously yes he may have fallen for her but on the surface level, its not visible… all I see is acceptance as a life partner and a true friend… with whom he could share his life…his extent of feelings are not shown and even he himself is not aware of it.. so yes he is not on the same page as MH because he has no reason to believe that he can lose Meet Hooda .. when that day or situation comes, lets see how he will react and what he will discover….
sorry for the long post but I wanted to put my thoughts out..
