It is mostly to do with her not acknowledging Vanraj as an abuser. She even goes on to say he is not "ghatiya". She still thinks that "V set her free". She still believes that V is good father, good person etc etc. All of her actions which do not seem like a vicitm of his abuse is what makes some of us wonder - if she will flip?! 😕

But the writers have changed, the story has changed and so has my stand for Anu with time. Her actions, are reactions to Vanraj and Baa.

Just see only that one scene and decide for yourself. Keep the past story aside from your mind only for a minute. Or show to someone who doesn't know the context. It was very clear Anu-Vanraj tashan, Anuj was a prop in that scene.

And and and my dear. I was obsessed with Anuj. Now, with the sudden change in his character arc, I troll him too and call his doll. However, I am still hoping against hope that his character will be redeemed.

So, my comments are what I see today. If they change the character arc, my stand will change again..no big deal.. only rule I follow is being fair to what I see and perceive.

Sudanshu might be Rajan Sahi's best friend but he's not above a show.. what I mean by that is yes RS has time and again given more imp to V's chr and all, tried to whitewash him but even then audience have always rejected Vanraj and the show has always gone back to Vanraj vs Anu.. as far as I know and whatever I have seen, story has always been Anu vs Vanraj since ema reveal.. every single track has been Anu vs Vanraj and will continue to be so.. like the original sreemoye. Even there most track was Sree vs Vanraj's counterpart (don't remember his name) .. though he wasn't as glorified as V is in anupama. So Anu vs Vanraj will probably not change... also Vanraj has no role in the show if he isn't against Anu since he's the main antagonist always pulling her back, stopping her from moving ahead in life etc etc..

RS has his reputation at stake with this show. The prestigious dada saheb phalke international awards they received for the show speaks up for itself. They really cannot compromise with the core theme of the show.

Hina Khan and Karan Mehra gave 8 yrs to his longest running show, yrkkh and successfully ran it for so long too.. even then RS has not kept them above the show... granted that they wanted to leave. Kaira from YRKKH were the most loved couple and after Og Akshara left the show, there was a huge burden on Shivangi and Mohsin (aka naira and kartik) to take the show forward which fortunately they were successfully able to do for 5 yrs.. even then the characters were never above a show for Rajan Shahi. Shivangi and Mohsin were both against Naira being killed off to get her humshakal so that they can build up the story for 3rd generation (which is the current yrkkh), but even then the actors/chrs were not above a show for Rajan Shahi... So idk if Sudanshu can really be above these actors who have achieved much more than him and shown RS and his team much more commitment and dedication..

Anyway I went off topic there. My point was that yes they keep whitewashing or maybe glorifying Vanraj by calling him acha beta/baap etc (and then make other chrs call him out 🤪).. but one thing I am almost certain is that they will not make Anu go back to Vanraj (even if Anuj wasn't in the picture)..
