I agree, a lot of his actions are driven by the need to be *seen* as a morally upright man, rather than an inherent goodness to simply show that through actions. A downfall for a character with such ego would usually be a pleasure to watch (and I'm not saying it isnt). Maybe I'm just trying to find a way in which his humanity can be redeemed. Its an off day for me when I am thinking about AKT rather than ASR.

Feel you. Even though i never liked the character, there's a certain connect watching them over the year, so I had this phase as well, like in December i think. When I still had balance in "woh itna bura bhi nahi hai" ledger

But after lot of contemplation wrote him off completely... 🤷🤷

Crowding my brain, i need proper space for Aryan and arylie there 🤭🤭🤭

Because he fell in love with imlie (that too was like unexplained, in-organic imo) he used the marriage excuse to justify that emotional cheating he did with his legal wife, best frraaand and 7-yr gf.

The right time for declaring his marriage would be before marrying malini getting a respectful annulment with imlie then marrying malini... And I'm saying this because he has this morally upright, speaker of truth mental as well as societal image.

Image is not everything, actions speak louder than words.

It's not hard for me to believe the downward arc because to me he's always come across as selfish and arrogant, big head, inflated ego, words-only-no-action person. And I'm saying this as a neutral audience over the year (my opinion got colored only after Aryan)

But not to mention i don't have good adi moments.

#1 getting meeti-SK married

#2 supporting imlie's education

#3 declaring himself as imlie's husband in front of family in Nishant's marriage (though from Nishant's pov i hate this, because adilie totally stole their thunder on their big day... Hate this)

But they are so few and far that they come across superficial at best and makes me believe it's more to re-enforce his societal image of acchha aadmi rather than inherent goodness.

AKT always had flaws. There are PPL who make mistakes in real life.. I felt that it would realistic story where we would get his redemption n character arc. Mostly, I tolerated n tried to understand his pov bcoz of GM. But later that also cant keep be invested. I really started hating his character. so completely stopped following it. .. PPL do have flaws nobody is perfect but somewhere u get to see something which you admire, some strength. However, after a point He came across as more n more egoistic, insensitive n selfish.

Everybody is selfish but there is limit to it. See if once anyone make mistake one can understand but when we see pattern that means that person is like that. I firmly believe that Adversity doesn't build a character but reveals it. N Adi's real self is revealed in difficult circumstances.

1. Forced marriage: Understood how he felt helpless n his ego was hurt. But the way he treated Imlie was deplorable. By hook or crook he wante to Mary Malini n was also worried ABT her too.

2. He fell in love with Imlie: Malu being his friend/gf for 7 years, He should have shown bit sensitivity towards her but he just wanted to reveal the truth..Okay got it that he didn't wanted to lie n wanted to come out of this n all but the way totally discarded Malini.

3. Malini attempted suicide This was the major point which was not easy to overlook.. the way he believed KC storyn He loved Imlie but when Imlie tried to tell him that it cant be true..he didn't believe her at all. He wanted easy way out.

Aur bahut hai mein thak gayi🤣 But he has been like this.. sirf baatein karwalo isse aur kuch nahi hota

Regarding supporting in Education also he has taken his sweet time. He knew that she has got scholarship but never tried to find out about anything related to education. When Malini suggested that time also he was against.. Imlie ne iske liye goli khane ke baad.. isko sab dikhne laga.

N that Nishant ke shdi mein table tod shadi.. isne toh Josh mein aake kar diya but bhugatna Imlie ko pada..what was worse.. that ye sab dekhta raha .His love was only sweet talking.. aur kuch nahi

She is so hell bend to die.. How many time poor boy has to go through that feeling.. She is giving back to back major panic attack to Aru..

N AKT was like.. Sala X wife bhi yhi rakhenge.. Current bhi yhi rakhenge 🤣🤣🤣 "aap malini ke ghr ke bahr kya kr rhe" N Aru was like "Ewwww... Caroline no one cares.. No.. " 🤣🤣🤣
