I am late to this discussion but I mostly agree with you.

Literally nobody is interested in the same Shah family drama anymore. I dont think even the trp audience cares anymore.
Anupamaa’s usp is her breaking free from the clutches of that toxic family, thats why women all over India love it. If they keep showing her going back to them again and again its going to get redundant. Like today.

I am sick and tired of this maryada. Bohot bohot bohot tired. Goli maaro is maryada ko aur shaadi karke aage badho yaar. Kya timepass chal raha hai. We all know now that MaAn will get married at some point.

And yes, I expected a shift in their dynamic too, and I didnt find it. They were openly saying things but the sexual tension was not there. Again, I’m not saying this out of my tharkiness (promise), but Anuj needs to be less sanskari and more assertive and mischievous (and a little tharki).

As people have noted, TRP has fallen. Because Vanrajs smug villain face and Mukus crazy antics were plastered all over last week. People want to see Anuj and Anupama win and share more screen time. In the age of OTT nobody will patiently watch a show if its not going well.
