So, this is something I am also guilty of. I have way more guy friends than female friends. And I kind of hit it off easily with a guy in terms of friendship than girls even though my distrust of men is on another level.
But all my really close friends are women and they are the best. I have found that, at least for me I can't have a male best friend because they can only understand so much.
it's about personality traits that are common in friends but we attribute them to gender stereotypes
like guys can chill and have a beer but there are girls that do that too

In this (red) you and I are very similar. I suppose this is true for me too - my closest friend is a woman but she is also the friendship I find most difficult to navigate when we're in conflict.
truer words have never been spoken 🤣
so will they all cry their eyes out if i make a post about JIJA GOING TO JAIL 🤣

@bold. This is so true. I was reading an article the other day where they are discussing how friendships taking central role in people's lives instead of romantic relationships. And there is a friend who will always come above any man in my life but when conflict arise, it is too difficult. Like guy friends will come and go, boyfriends will come and go but losing your best friend is a life long hole in your heart and the pain is worse than any heartbreak. And like you said extremely difficult to navigate.

Yes. And most girls are social conditioned and trapped in their "gender roles". And when they see other girls having the fun they can't, it naturally starts showing as jealousy and pettiness.
And I hate it when men hitting it off a friendship tells me, "you are not like other girls" or "you are not a girly girl" 🙄

i actually think the opposite sometimes WOMEN are actually super INSECURE and RUDE to other WOMEN
the whole concept of WOMEN HELPING WOMEN is a total myth hence the trope of a NIGHTMARE MOTHER IN LAW but nobody says that about the FATHER IN LAW

True.
At workplace too, I have a lot of men who inspire me, and are sweet or genuinely do good things. But women are either rude or just not fun to talk to.
But I do have a best friend and I love her to death
