Mothers also have the right to a fairy tale world

Almost all mothers have read the story of Cinderella to their daughters while putting them to sleep. The daughters slept peacefully dreaming of meeting their prince charming one day. The mothers also prayed that one day a prince will come riding on a white horse with a promise of a happily ever after to their daughters. But what about the mothers? Did anybody ever bothered to find out whether the mother met her prince charming or is living with a monster in the disguise of prince charming. I bet nobody ever felt the need to ask a mother whether she needs a prince in her life. Once a girl gets married the society assumes that her sufferings are over, she has got her prince charming and she has no right to complain about anything. But in reality most girls become Cinderella after marriage. As Cinderella worked day and night for her ungrateful step mother and sisters, most mothers spend their life in the kitchen just like Cinderella to feed the ego of her ungrateful family. No mother ever dares to break free from this Cinderella life, no mother dares to dream about her prince charming. But Anupama did. She broke the shackles which tied her to the kitchen where patriarchy is being cooked for thousand of years. She dared to rise in love. Today by declaring her love for her prince charming she declared that love is not the sole property of teenage girls and boys. Today the union of MaAn proved that Cinderellas need not to be 16 years old. At any age, at any stage, at any situation you have the right to live a fairy tale life. Mothers please don’t lose hope. Never give up the hope of finding your fairy tale beginning.

Beautiful post and so true everything. Mother is the ultimate top most post in the hierarchy of woman's role through her life span and once she achieved this status nonone care anymore what she has to say, to think, to wish. She is supposed to look after her children, family, household like she has nothing else to do and she was born just for doing this.

Mothers are worshipped like goddess but we fail to understand that she is still human. She has dreams, wishes, ideas....she could also want to go out of her cage and explore life. Anu has really set an example for all those mothers who are stuck in their life that its ok to move on without her family, its ok to dream again and its ok to fall in love.

But I hated Baa's taunts in previous episodes. That vile woman is nothing but a reminder that no matter how much a woman tries to move on in life, society will pull her back to her hell hole in the name of responsibility towards children, their future. I wonder why its not father's responsibility to look out for their children and why his actions never threatens children's future. And the most unfortunate thing is that this society is mostly comprised of other women like baa, kavya, padosi, relatives. Aurat hi aurat ki sabse badi dushman hai...this thing is just so true.

Beautiful and necessary post. girls are raised as sacrificial lambs in many households. from childhood they are schooled in Mahanta. They are made to believe their aspirations are insignificant. The way Bechara Mard argued that Anupama was at the Start Line with him that while he took off sh stayed behind. He made it sound as if it was her choice. Even motherhood the third time was not her choice. Her rights as a mother as a wife as a human were trampled upon all the time. Including the call by Leela after knowing Samar was with Varun. She will now squarely blame Kintosh issues, Sanan break up on MaAn.

Anuj is a Prince Charming in the true sense and the & magical words were truly theirs. MaAn need a fairy tale life at least now on.

Beautifully said. Hoping to see Anupama break the shackles of drudgery and betrayal and dare to dream for a better life for herself is what most of us signed up for. She had been conditioned to believe that the life she had was a happy one, but the viewer was seeing reality for what it was. This is what made us want to take up arms on her behalf. And also stop and think about how so many elements of her life is what we see happening around us.

As she said today, she may have met her prince charming in the dopahar of their life, but shaam tak toh zindagi aur hai.

Beautiful post🤗 very true.

In general everyone and most importantly a lot women need to realise, understand and accept that being mother doesn't mean you stop being an individual a person.

Amen!

When baa called Anupama and started hurling abuses at her, complaining about Paakhi, etc.... I was wondering why she couldn't do the same with her son, V? Why is the sole blame on Anupama that her children are straying away?

However, I am super happy that none of baa's words deterred her from speaking her mind and opening up to Anuj, acknowledge her feelings for him. That too, this time (after baa's insults) without much uplifting & encouragement by anyone else. This is progress, IMO. Acknowledging how she feels despite knowing what lies ahead is not easy, that she has to now swim against the tide is commendable! Kudos!! 👏👍🏼
