exactlyâŚitâs so ridiculous..as if women doctors donât fall in love, get married, have children and lead happy married family lives and have successful careers⌠Such outdated thinking these yrkkh writers have..đ¤Śđťââď¸Originally posted by: sidnilove
Mahima has a great career so of course she had to be a bad mother. Both her children are problematic. On the other hand, Abhimanyu turned into a sharmaji ka beta who's best at everything. Why? because his mother is a housewife. Wah! So uplifting and inspiring!
Aarohi is career oriented so she doesn't know anything about love and relationships. Remember the laddoo task where she had to hide something inside the laddoo and she broke it. Akshara ji came to her rescue. Aarohi is so focused on her work that she doesn't know any traditions and Akshu is perfect bahu material who will sail through these kind of tasks and win everyone over.
The irony is that in real life, Aarohi will be a catch. Not Akshu.

Arre everyone needs minor vices! That's what YRKKH is - a guilty pleasure. Yeh nahi hota, who knows what major vices we might acquire... Parth ke tarah kuch phookna shuru karteđ¤Ł
Wow... LOL!
I think they forgot to type the words 'lack of' in front of attentionđ¤Ł

Hey look at this nugget of wisdom and wit I discovered!!
"Wanted to make a separate post on the significance of the balcony scene. It is so poetic and symbolic. We all know that Abhira are currently in the Romeo and Juliet phase of their love. In the Shakespearean play, the balcony scene solidified the love of both characters. The most famous line- âA rose by any other name would smell as sweetâ is known throughout history. Here, we see the same with Abhira- Goenka, Birla⌠it does not matter. Abhira are together and will remain as one regardless of the feuding between their families. In this scene, they leave their ego behind to reunite irrespective of their familial ties. And the most beautiful parallel of all was that in the play, Juliet is talking to herself about her love for Romeo, and he overhears⌠that is the moment he realizes that they are meant to be. And here, as Abhi is leaving, he hears Akshu saying that she wishes she had hugged him- identical scenes. The attention to detail is simply outstanding. "
I also twisted my faltu brain into knots trying to work this out and whether it meant Kairav and Abhimanyu knew each other even on the trip... Just makes zero senseđ
They are writing as they go... in fact, it's like that game where one person starts a story with a sentence then successive people add random sentences as they go and then in the end everyone has a good laugh at the hodge podge of nonsense that emergesđ¤Ł
Not just that. There is so much issue with chronology also. They introduced Anisha without having a clue on what to do. For instance, Anisha called Abhimanyu after her first suicide attempt. And the next day is when Akshara brought Anisha to Goenka house and few minutes before it is when Kairav saw Anisha's picture with Abhimanyu and wondered why are they together and he called Abhimanyu to talk.
So, how does it make sense? If he had already figured she is Birla and broken up with her, he wouldn't have been surprised seeing Abhimanyu and Anisha's photo. And if he broke up with her after that, why did she cut her wrist a day before. Woah. This is complicated than TENET. đ¤Ł
This is spot on (bold). In S2, Naira's marriage was destroyed because she dared take on a career and work to excel at it.
Let's not forget Abhimanyu fell for Akshara because she reminded him of his MAA, and also it is clear he took a dislike to Arohi from day 1 (not even looking at her when she was apologizing for knocking over his scooter).
To me, there's a lot of subtext to be unpacked just in that scenario, tying right back to what you wrote.
What he wants (as do a lot of high-powered professionally driven men) is a woman to look after him like a child, manage his household and bring up his children. Just like his housewife mother. And he has a natural antipathy to the ambitious sister who is a doctor like him...
Granted they made Arohi pretty horrible but Abhimanyu didn't know (and still doesn't know) the extent of her misdeeds. He has been rude and cold to her from the beginning, even when he thinks she saved his life.

exactly âŚbecause Iâve seen Pranali in barrister babu and how well she can change her expressions and she rocked the villain role. But as akshara âŚsheâs made to be so lameâŚin everything..her dressing, her look, her personality, ..shes made to be a simpletonâŚand her mother was a sherni..đ¤Śđťââď¸ Iâm so disappointed in aksharas character.. sadly I find yrkkh and many other shows to be quite regressiveâŚwhere they still donât make the heroines ambitious career women.. itâs like they are promoting the role of the ideal woman as a housewife.. Like if you have a career and are ambitious then you canât be a good wife, mother and take care of your house.. so ambitious women who have careers are made the vamps..look what theyâve done here,..they made Arohi and mahima to be faultyâŚso mahima was a useless mother ..her children donât like her and her sister had to take care of the children and the house and they are making Arohi to look like sheâs a villain in her sisters soul wala pyaar..đĄ
