because it's slb garba song, it will be compared to aish and deepika slb songs, and alia doesn't have the stature of the 2 heroines, the height and the mind dazzling beauty and curves but she sure makes up with her acting. there was acting in going on there, advances the story and it seems more than a love story. and alia does look very young, is very skinny but here she looks like she gained weight, does not have the teeny bopper skinny look, and she has the body language down too. alia rarely disappoints, and this is so much better than the poorly cut trailer

The song looks repetitive for me. Alia did well but way behind aish, DP and Priyanka.... she could not match them in pulling of this song...

Song looks like copy cat of SLB old movies, even choreography 🥱

Dance is not Alia's forte. SLB should have avoided it.

Alia's expressions are spot on, and her posture when she's not dancing looks authoritative, but she looks ridiculous once dance movements start.

I had high hopes on seeing the trailer, but after this dance? One more SLB melodrama is what I'm expecting, with very little Alia. Looks like he did to her acting what he did to Deepika's looks. Drown it in his delusions of grandeur. SLB will overwhelm even a decent story with his song and dance routines and sets.

Crazens are so obsessed with alia. Alia trying to be like deepika seriously? I don't see why anybody would aspire to become plank of wood.

I'm not a crazen. Alia is not trying to be DP precisely, but she is trying very hard to be counted as the quintessential BW heroine. Kalank, now this. She has her own forte, which none of her contemporaries have. She can actually act. If she'd stuck to what the trailer showed, it would've been much better. But then, we're talking about SLB. The man seems in love with this vision of himself as a grand director. No matter who goes through his hands, he will make sure he remains the star.

Alia is experimenting which is good. And its working for her. Kalank was a bad film. But from the looks gangubai is not. She absolutely nailed the character from trailer. This song seems out of place because we don't know the context. What happened to make alia so angry almost maniac like. We will have to watch the movie for it.

Disappointed with the music. Music in SLB's films are usually one of his strengths. Alia's dancing is nothing exceptional. But then neither was Sara's in Chaka Chak. SLB should consider keeping in mind the character and the actress when designing his musical numbers. It would have been better if he'd put Alia on a throne being a Lady Don like he did with Supriya Pathak did in Nagada. There wouldn't have been any negative comparisons.

That said Alia's expressions are spot on. There are better dancers out there like say, Nora. But they fail to express their emotions simultaneously with lip sync and vigorous dance movements.

This! I don't understand why the female leaders/rulers (like Kangana in Manikarnika) have to dance. They are rulers, shouldn't they be sitting on the throne and enjoy the celebrations.

With the men, it was more of a team bonding thing (?) but it still doesn't make sense to make them dance, battle ke waqt choreography kab ki?

yes, it makes them look a part of the people, but personally, I loved the creative decision of Supriya just doing the first ritual and then watching her whole town dance to (her) tunes, it made her feel like a ruler, a better king pin.

SLB songs are always grand and so good on eyes.. I admire the hard work the team has put in the song.. but somehow.. in my mind, I see a KJO in Alia's dance.🤪
