Like I said in the other post too, the limits that Ragini fell to were despicable, as an audience, they were difficult to swallow, I can't imagine actually having to enact it. And despite her unhappiness, she did full justice to Ragini's character at every stage in the show.

Yes, that's exactly what Teja said that she was promised a positive role, the negative part never came into discussions. I remember watching an interview with her before the show was released, and she was so enthusiastic about her character, Ragni, as she is a lot like her, positive, likes to sing and all that.

She gave another interview while she was negotiating her staying in the show depending on when Ragni's character will come back to being positive, and she was clearly affected. She was dealing with a lot of pressure at that time.

I'm curious, if the narrative that was given to her, wasn't a negative Ragini, what was the story meant to be ahead? Does anyone know? I've always felt like the pairings were meant to be the opposite, especially seeing Sanskaar and Ragini's first interaction, and Ragini Lakshya and Swara Sanskaar happened as a result of Ragini turning negative, but other people stated the pairings were meant to be as they were from the start.

Yeah from the very little I've seen of her offscreen, she has a difficult time masking her emotions. Her expressions clearly depict her inner feelings. But regardless, props to her for being willing to walk away if things didn't work out how she wanted and staying until the end of the show despite not being happy with it.

I have a read an article stating that the intial story of swaragini was more of sharmista and shekhar how they will overcome obstacles to unite with help of their daughters and of course with parallel story of daughters , but crux will be sharmishta and shekhar.During intial episodes I thought swara and laksh , Ragini and Sanskaar were jodies. But it got changed , ragini became villian. It was a turning point because, till then always modern girl becomes villian and traditional girl heroine. To see angel faced villainous ragini was a treat and tejaswi nailed it. She was promised that charachter would be grey but was made so evil . It came to a point that usp of the show became ragini vs swasan and makers were not ready to stop.By the time they changed the story line, swara had become annoyingly mahaan and ragini lost the entire character arc and sanskar and laksh mere spectators.

It is true that one jodi got more importance, it was because that jodi was much more easily acceptable to the audience, a man seeking revenge and a good girl bringing him back to the right path.Ragini and laksh were more of grey characters.

Tejaswi was right in her place to decide to quit the show .Also it was show were all the leads were bullied online especially helly and tejaswi .

Tejasswi was against it, she agreed to turn negative for sometime because the makers promised to turn her positive but after a point that malkin track where tejasswi was negative got very good trp so makers wanted her to play full time negative. Tejasswi decided to quit because of it, so makers turned her into positive again but they could not give her screenspace or equal importance to the second couple. Tejasswi and namish even complained about it on interviews. When swaragini was ending, namish was blunt that he was happy that the show was ending. So after that stunt, I don't think tejasswi will ever want to play negative or do a second lead show. Same with namish.

For channel especially colours only trp matters. No proper script, charachter arc or anything. Ragini being negative served channels purpose. But ragini was a turning point in tejaswis career. She gained more recognition and fans. For me she nailed that grey shaded role . If only makers could give a proper back story or a proper redemption track. But over night ragini was made positive.i doubt wether it was due to pressure on makers by the actor . Or wether makers were deliberately making ragini and laksh less important because the actors complained .

Any way none of the four leads are ever going to play second lead.

I personally feel tejaswi and namish could have been bit more diplomatic in their interviews because it lead to unwanted tensions between the fan groups.

If she can't relate to negative parts and doesn't feel good doing them, her choice and doesn't have to give explanations.

Because at that time actresses standing up for what they feel right was not much preferred . They were expected to played any crap or any non sense without questioning back.forget charachter growth they would not even get scripts ready before commencing the shoot.

@bold this is exactly the problem right here. The show did great when Ragini was negative, but Ragini crossed so many limits by the time they turned her positive, that a positive Ragini was just undigestable. It took me the last track with Lakshya disappearing to not see her as the crazy chick who tried killing her sister and kidnapped her mother. Plus I didn't even remember her initial character sketch for the story to make any sense when she turned positive again since she was negative for so long. Add in the fact that she got no redemption either, and it was made it that much worse. While Swara on the other hand was such a mahaan soul who never did anything wrong that it became increasingly difficult to relate to her as well. Likewise, turning every character negative so Swara could sudharofy them or fight against them was also getting super tedious.

The second bit is definitely true too, I like all four of the leads, but at the same time, Swara Sanskaar are just a lot more likeable for obvious reasons.

Yeah she undoubtedly did really well. But I also feel like actors get stereotyped really easily. Had the negative arc continued, I personally think it would've been difficult to distinguish between Tejasswi the actor and Ragini the character. Considering she was a newbie, that would've made it that much harder and she wouldn't even be considered for positive roles. Such as Urvashi or Sudha Ji, I've been watching both play vamps since I was a kid. Heck even Mahek played a negative character in Kavach so I keep thinking she'll be negative here too.😆 It's really hard to break out of that mould once you are in it and if Ragini continued being negative any longer, I don't think Tejasswi would've been able to. About a proper redemption, is there really one for someone like Ragini? Someone who is a murderer, a kidnapper a fake sexual assault accuser? They took the character so far out, I don't think they could ever redeem her.

@bold it must've been difficult for fans of either pairing to not be affected by this, but Tejasswi just seems super blunt. Whether or not that's a good quality is arguable, but yeah.😆 I found it a tad inappropriate that she just straight out asked Ekta why she doesn't cast her as well, but I guess that's just how she is. Definitely needs to work on that IMO, a little diplomacy can never hurt, but as I said in the previous post, I get their frustration as well.
