Even the second lead in Naagin is a big deal. Adaa Khan became so popular from Naagin. Big actors like Anita Hassanandani, Jasmin Bhasin, and Rashmi Desai were also a second lead.

Every main lead had different colour costumes so far. Mouni had gold, Surbhi J. had white, Nia had black, and Surbhi C. had a red costume. Now Mahek has a blue costume 🤔

She's good. But I've only seen her doing negative or grey shade roles in tv/movies. Never seen her in a positive role tho this time she's saying in interviews that her role is a positive one and will be an 'inspiration' to many. Mahek even hinted in the live press con that Simba's role could be a negative one.

But maybe they're all just bluffing. Their job is to create suspense toh can't belive anything they say. Baki let's see.

But it's just I feel personally she will not do negative role after swaragini.. I know it's not a big deal but swaragini was a very bad experience for her. I don't think she will ever want to do negative after swaragini.

I don't have any problem if she does negative. Either way she is earning money and doing good.

Simba will play a double role: one positive (the army officer) and one negative (some Raj Naag or something). They said this is a story of 1000 years. I think Teja and Simba's characters will have some enmity from the previous life, but they'll love each other in this one. Something will happen that will bring old memories back and along with them the negative side of Simba's character... My guess from the things I've read here and there.

What happened during SR if I may ask? I wasn't active on the forum and didn't follow the show back then either. Have always found both girls cute though so I skimmed through it now and I've always felt like Tejasswi was done dirty there. The show was meant to be a dual lead show but it always looked like it had one lead and one vamp. The limits Ragini fell to were appalling and each time I just pitied Teju more and more for having to do it.😆

Yes Tejasswi was turned negative and they wanted to turn her into vamp and swara full positive. Tejasswi was against it, she agreed to turn negative for sometime because the makers promised to turn her positive but after a point that malkin track where tejasswi was negative got very good trp so makers wanted her to play full time negative. Tejasswi decided to quit because of it, so makers turned her into positive again but they could not give her screenspace or equal importance to the second couple. Tejasswi and namish even complained about it on interviews. When swaragini was ending, namish was blunt that he was happy that the show was ending. So after that stunt, I don't think tejasswi will ever want to play negative or do a second lead show. Same with namish.

She even got ridiculed in one article as "the actress who wants to play only positive roles". So, what? Even if she is an actress doesn't mean she should just act everything that is given to her. If she can't relate to negative parts and doesn't feel good doing them, her choice and doesn't have to give explanations.

That's interesting thanks for sharing. I just finished the malkin track a couple of weeks back, and even without knowing this, it was very evident that there was drama going on offscreen since the track changed overnight in a super unrealistic and unconvincing manner.😆 Ragini's 360-degree turn in between these two tracks (i.e. the malkin one and the maasi one) made no sense whatsoever, but good on Tejasswi regardless for putting her foot down and saying no. Considering she was a newbie at that time, that takes serious guts. They already degraded Ragini's character so badly by this point, that they could try all they liked, there was no redemption, so I'm not surprised that the only route they saw for her character from a narrative POV, was to make her a full vamp, though again I don't get how much worse she could've gotten.😆

and @bold, lol, yeah this is another thing that's hard to not pick up on. The PH was very biased towards SS, especially Swara. Swara and Sanskaar never did anything wrong, and Lakshya and Ragini never did anything right. Lakshya Ragini kept creating problems, Swara and Sanskaar kept solving problems.😆 So I can see why they were fed up by the time it ended, despite being the leads, the CVs clearly never treated them in that manner. Even tracks that were meant to be Lakshya Ragini centric, like the Kavya one or the final one, were more about Swara Sanskaar. But I personally feel like this is an ITV problem as opposed to just an SR problem. All shows on multiple leads have multiple leads for the heck of it only. Every PH clearly favours one FL and a couple more than the other. I've felt the same way watching Bidaai, Ishqbaaz, EHMMBH, MJHT to name a few.

About being a negative character, I feel like if that's the narrative given to her from the start, that's one thing, SR on the other hand was literally taking a positive character and turning her negative for ratings. And Tejasswi has also done Silsila which was a double lead show, so I don't think she has problems with those things as such, more how poorly they handled things in SR.

That's super unfair, Ragini was introduced as a positive character and I'm assuming Tejasswi only signed the show under that assumption. Like I said in the other post too, the limits that Ragini fell to were despicable, as an audience, they were difficult to swallow, I can't imagine actually having to enact it. And despite her unhappiness, she did full justice to Ragini's character at every stage in the show.
