You may not consider it disrespectful but not evwryone is going to agree with what he did. The gesture of spitting or blowing air on a person seems pathetic and unhiegenic to people from other communities. That's disgusting. When attending a hindu funeral he needed to be mindful of how it would come across. The spitting is halaal in islam that which is why they are very insecure with the tag "thukiyas" attached to them. There are countless videos where they are seen spitting in foods of others before serving at restaurants and many of them were in controversy due to boycott calla in kerala in recent weeks due to this islamic practice.

So, you may not mind but i am not going to be ok with blowing unhiegenic air on anyone, dead or alive. It looks pathetic everytime i see it even if he didnt mean it.

Spitting in food is an Islamic practice? What the actual fuck? 😂 Just become some hateful asshole spat in someone’s food, how is that equated to a religious practice? Some workers at McDonalds has probably at one point spat in a customers food. We gonna label that a religiously driven custom too?

Also, SRK wasn’t spitting but yes blew air, which was the intent to blow his Dua towards her direction. You telling me that no other culture does the same when they’re warding off the evil eye and what not? All he did was raise his hands, prayed for her soul and blew his wishes at her direction. Then he proceeded to pray with folded hands and performed a prayer in accordance to Hindu rituals.

Seriously how petty is this? A person has died and I’m sure the least of Lata’s worries would be that SRK attended her funeral and prayed for her soul in whatever way or form. If I died, I’d want and would appreciate having all kinds of prayers sent my way. His intentions were noble and kind. I can’t believe I’m actually trying to explain this to someone. I never thought a day would come where the type of condolences and prayers offered to a dead person would be scrutinised. Such a shame.

I have seen no Indian Muslims or Muslims anywhere else do that. May be the person who spit into your food was taking his/her revenge for something and being a Muslim or Non-Muslim has nothing to do with it.

Guess spitting must be a universal aspect of every culture and religion since every Tom Dick & Harry has spat at least once in their lifetime. Sometimes it’s spit, sometimes it’s phlegm, sometimes it’s the paan residue, surely not limited to only one group of people. 🤗

With hundreds of people gathering in funerals and no social distancing to be seen, blowing air for one second isn’t going to cause a covid uproar unless exhaling air is also considered a crime. Anyhow, I already knew you weren’t going to accept my explanation but thought I’d share it anyway. I’m not going to force you to change your views. Each to their own. Ciao.

I dont go anywhere near these kind so no chance. But it is rampant in india. Every news channel was reporting on it a few weeks back. They were even spitting on nursed and doctors who went to treat them during covid breaknout. You might deny all these due to your associatikns with them but these are hard facts.
