I did think that Sonu Nigam deserved the Filmfare Award that year, and I still do think so.

It was the best male vocal performance of 2012 for me. The song too is incredible. Although, I have played and enjoyed Pani Da Rang a lot more (easily pout it on repeat, unlike Abhi Mujhe Mein which is something to listen to in certain moments).

It was surprising Ayushmann got that award, although of course I love the track and his singing of it, but I do feel it was a SNUB against Sonu.

Filmfare also game Ayushmann Best Debut award that year, which is unusual. If they really wanted to give him 2 awards, they could've given him the RD Burman Award for New Musical Talent (which went to Neeti Mohan I believe).

I was expecting salman khan winning best singer for hangover too 🥱, filmfare lost its worth for quite long time ago and I don't know why didn't they ever give any award to amir khan, as much I remember amir felt insulted when Shahrukh got awarded for best actor rather then him, for some film he believed that he deserved

At the level of recognition I guess ajay Atul had done brothers film too in 2015 for dharma production but they are known for Agneepath upto now and sadly were not given much more project which they deserved,

And even in the 60s, there were major snubs. That's just the way of ALL award shows. They didn't "lose their way". Remember that video you posted last week where Sonu_miyan is talking about how we glorify the past" "oh things were soooooooooo good back in the olden days". It's all a lie.

He used to attend the shows and even perform but by the time they gave it to him in 1997 for Raja Hindustani, he has given up hope.

at the level songs i know , many songs in the 90's too got the award which they didnt deserved , and the chain may be since long ago , but there will be something for which amir khan bycoted bollywood film awards

Ghajni vs singh is king , as amir bycoted bollywood awards so akshey kumar won the award for best actor but akshey didnt accepted it and said amir khan is the true deserving for this award
