Aisa hain mujhey hotel ke kamre mey neend nehin aati shuru sey. Vo tv mey dikhate hain na stories about haunted hotels. Lekin this was majburi. Job related.

Moreover home bed comfort u can't get anywhere. I switch on the tv and lights . Tv dektey dekhtey so geyi.

The students took advantage of my situation. Bahut sweet . Maam u can put up with us. Mujhey kya peta tha aek number key shaitan hain. Ledkiyaan ledke sab kaminey.

Majority ninety percent staffs are local. They travel daily to varsity. Very few foreigners expatriates or outstation staffs. So not many put up at the staff hostel. The building is old. Maintenance issue. Pipe leakeges and crack in walls. Some staff rent apartments near the campus. Renovations been done on and off. But now they plan to demolish and rebuild it again. The varsity built in 1946. That's freaking 70 yrs plus.

Eight yrs ago, one Iranian professor teaching chemistry to science faculty put up at the boy's hostel as renovation works were going on in staff hostel. Another was a Singaporean engineering professor. His side no problem. That engineering studs were decent. This science wale mischievous. Middle of the nite , one woke him stating stomach pain. He advised him u stay here i go look for watchman to get transport to a nearby clinic ya hospital. As he opened the dorm door suddenly a horrifying figure stood in front of him in the dark. He collapsed. Major heartattack. Recovered . Then he resigned. The students involved in the ragging were expelled.

Mine is private college. So no ragging issues. Most private institutions and varsity no ragging. Coz they are really very strict. One small mistake out u go. Rules and regulations very strict.

Public (government) universities lack disciplinary issues. Staff turnover high due to lesser pay ranges compared to private. That dorm he put up also no warden. Housekeeping rules, caretaker must be present in hostels. Staff turnover high. They try cutting cost. They don't recruit replacements. 24 dorms. Only half have wardens. That's why studs not disciplined. The day scholars also told me yeh boarding studs are mischievous. They say after classes they go home straight. They don't mix with them. Kuch drugs bhi lete hain. Boys more notorious than girls.

Guess lecturing is part of teaching career. I have done many times but only varsities which are nearer . Go and come home. First time put up . So new experience. Anyway it's not often. Only one or twice a year. I can run to Thailand. Only three hours away. But don't have visa😁😁

Anyway Friday going home. Two days more.

I have a roommate now. So not scared. She's leaving the following week. She came for three weeks. She's more brave. Her husband has garment business. She is used to travelling alone. Usko dar nehin legta.
