ok... let me try to explain in sanskari words....

what i meant by dark was that up till now his intentions were quite questionable... specially in nov/dec episodes... and that made the character more appealing an interesting to me; with the hindsight we see more and more light in his character so your point about him not being dark is spot on. and i don't mind this side much also.... bas wax statue na bana de usko, there's always that fear with ITV MLs because FL kaise outshine karegi warna; especially someone as impulsive as imlie

and you are partly right about blaming the fantasies thing... (that discussion is for another thread and time) 🤣
